The Polyamorous Affair's sultry, subversive electro was made for dark places. And the Berlin-based duo of Eddie Chacon and Sissy Sainte-Marie, who not so long ago called L.A. home, go there in the video for "Fantasy," which transfers the notion of appetite to someplace a little bit grisly. The single comes from 20102s synth-laden "Strange Bedfellows" album, released on their own Winter Palace Records. It's quite possible that I will tire of posting new videos from the Polyamorous Affair — L.A. expatriates Eddie Chacon and Sissy Sainte-Marie now stationed in Europe. But not if they continue to be this good. "New York City" was cool; "Softer and Softer" was cooler; now comes "Rebel" (off their most recent release "Strange Bedfellows"), directed by Dev01ded . La Scala are a local Chicago wunderband. I say that because they not only make some pretty nifty music themselves, as you will hear below, but they are the recording genius behind My Gold Mask too. Have to admit it was a dark day at Buzz Bands HQ when Eddie Chacon and Sissy Saint-Marie announced they were relocating their Polyamorous Affair from L.A. to Europe. Their second album "Bolshevik Disco" remains one of the highlights of the Manimal Vinyl catalog, and now they've followed it up with "Strange Bedfellows" on Winter Palace Records.
