Just seen this on modular people and thought i had to share. One half of The Presets doing a follow up mix to his prog-out mix a couple of weeks ago. This time around Mr Moyes teams up with the notorious Kookabruthaz to give us thirteen chunks of exclusive and banging club tunes, including an unreleased Tiga remix from last year and a sneaky preview of a Via Tania remix. Tracklist Tiga - "What You Need (Kim Remix)" Dinamics - "Music More Than A Passion A Drug (Kim [...]

Thinking back on my favorite concerts of the past few years, I always immediately go to three shows from 2008: My Morning Jacket's near four-hour set at Bonnaroo, Bon Iver at the Black Cat , and Cut Copy at the 930 Club . Only it wasn't Cut Copy that stood out that night; instead it was the opening band—fellow dance- and synth-happy Australians The Presets . That night, the club's sound system was savaged by monstrous thumping bass and drums and elephant-sized synthesizers that seemingly latched on to my inner ear, rendering me and 1,199 other people [...]

Further building on the breakthrough '09 release, Zombie Nation is set to release Zombilicious Remixes Part 2 today on Turbo. For a little taste, here's the Rebolledo remix of "Mas De Todo." Chugs along quite nicely, doesn't it? Zombie Nation - Mas De Todo (Rodello Remix) And for good measure, why not include the classic Presets remix he whipped up a while back? Kinda slipped the radar for some after that Lifelike version hit the blogs. [...]

Hey. So, Florian Senfter is an interesting guy right? He managed to escape the tractor beam of producing a late 90's mega hit, he always seems to look really startled, and - of course - he has several pseudonyms. Zombie Nation This is the big one. Most well known for the hit 'Kernkraft 400', he produces some great (and often unpredictable) stuff. Check out this post for the rundown on his 2009 album, Zombielicious. Zombie Nation - Forza (Alternate Version) [right [...]

Para crear bandas y solistas como lo son: Cut Copy, Miami Horror, Empire Of The Sun, Shazam, Cassian, Bag Raiders, Architecture in Helsinki, Yolanda Be Cool, Flight Facilities, Calling In Sick, The Presets, etc, etc... Por mencionar algunas de las bandas o solistas más fresc@s del momento y favoritos de este [...]
Here it is Boy and Girls, this years best songs in my humble opinion. Now, at first I though it was going to be a short one, because in my opinion this year was weaker than 08...huh, how wrong I was. My many thanks to all the artist and promoter who sent over so many great songs that have make my heart beat faster and the many readers who's comments make my day brighter. Groove Armada - Drop the Tough (Twelves Remix B-Live) Appaloosa - The Day [...]

Toronto - I went to a lot of shows in 2009, as a result, I'm going to be deaf when I'm 50. What? What? Here are some of the highlights. Glasvegas, Vice, Austin, Texas I wasn't a huge Glasvegas fan until I saw them play, and they blew me away. The lead singer is a dead on ringer for a young Joel Strummer and their wall of sound show was impressive to say the least, all leading up to a "Daddy's gone" singalong. I also managed to [...]

Halloween weekend was last weekend and as all of you know I absolutely HATE Halloween on so many levels its not even funny. BUT Im going to keep things a little festive today and make MIAMI HORROR the topic of this Music Monday Im sure MIAMI HORROR is old news to the good majority of you who actually read the Music Monday posts but I really dont care. I have been listening to M.H. on repeat for a week straight and I can't seem to get enough. Since there are [...]
After doing an update about A Trak's mighty new remix of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I made note that it would be a perfect track for Halloween. It got me thinking about making a mix inspired around it. What resulted was an electroclash/dubstep/dance mix. Moreover I wanted to make a playlist that doesn't contain the same tired tracks you always hear endlessly around this time of the year. Rejoice, there's no thriller, psycho killer, or tubular bells in sight. Happy Halloween! Tracklist La Roux - Tigerlily (B. Rich Remix) [...]

Pic: by Mr. Curieux, monsieur-curieux.blogspot.com Nous sommes déjà à la fin d'octobre.
The Temper Trap are fucking great. Man, Australians are on fire at the moment. I just downloaded their album today (delayed I know) because as i was watching the news this morning, I heard they got a fair few ARIA nominations. Siq bro. Btw, for all you foreigners, the ARIAs are a low budget version [...]
First off, we don't like the name Cagedbaby , but this matter of preference was conveniently chucked aside when we heard some of their stuff. Having remixed the likes of Armand Van Helden , Sneaky Sound System and most recently Empire of The Sun , they have gotten under our skin time and again. This time round they are releasing their 2nd single " Medicine ", which is a stunning piece of production, making it a must have when it comes out Oct 12! Having [...]
Well last weekend I did my first DJ gig. My DJ friend dragged me along to a DJ course which culmated with us DJing a catwalk. It was worse than it sounds haha. The models were all kids and they played videos during our sets, it was incredibly annoying. It probably made me look better in the end as I didn't have to do as many transitions. During the course we got to play with some Pioneer CDJ-1000s and my friend & I were under the impression we would be using them for the [...]

Whoah, talk about a break from blogging... Apologies my dearest readers for putting the smoke machine on low but now things are about to get heavy. JD is overseas (I think..?) for a tiny bit so I better put this party into full gear. Let's cut to the chase: Bang Gang's and ex-Riot in Belgium big boy Beni released his killer track "Maximus" a while back on Kitsune, featuring Sam Sparro on the vox. A remixes EP also followed dropping late last month but the mix you are about to grab [...]
Montreal DJ/producer CFCF (aka Michael Silver) has repeatedly won me over with his electronic pop remixes of HEALTH, Sally Shapiro, The Presets, and Woodhands. Now he sets his sights on an album of... [go to the website to read the rest of the article, download mp3s and more]

Suicide Sundaes – stop your grinnin' and drop your linen. Every Sunday electblake and jsully of Earmilk will bring you the weeks dirty servings, and some old favorites through a throwdown-throwback to simpler times. A time when bangers were big, remixes were bigger, the bassline bled, and we didn't care about anything as long as came in kicking and left screaming. To hell with sketchy sunday, we want to shove another dragon down the hole. This week we bring you more from our boy HAEZER and crowd [...]
