Here's something completely different. The Presets' latest single "Promises" gets a neo-classical reworking by German multi-instrumentalist and composer Nils Frahm and the result is absolutely beautiful. This rework appears on the "Promises" EP, which also features Plastic Plates remix of the track, already posted here . The Presets’ "Promises" EP arrives on December 7th via Modular.

If you've been a reader of the blog, you know that in the past, I was a huge fan of The Presets. Unfortunately their latest album Pacifica, did not provoke anything in me but flatulence. In the past remixes where able to turn a mediocre albums into an extraordinary club play, and it seems to me that this the exact situation happening to Pacifica. A few days back I received the remix of their track Promises by Australia's Plastic Plates who gave the track a facelift and made it suitable for the masses. [...]
Posting a great track from a the newest album The Presets released back in September called Pacifica. I've yet to fully listen to this album, I will have to do so now!
