Last week was the first time I have skipped a "Friday Remixes" post in a while. After learning about the theatre shooting 10 minutes from my house, I didn't feel it was appropriate to push forward. I sat numb listening, reading and praying everybody was alright and that none of mt friends or family weren't involved. I was fortunate, however, you ask anyone around town and typically it's one degree of separation with the tragedy. Someone knew someone that suffered as a victim in one capacity or another. Things aren't back to normal around here. People are [...]
PRJCTS' video for "Standing in the Mirror" was directed by LA filmmaker Pablo Balderas. Their new EP is out next month. http://www.prjctsmusic.com

LA based hip-hop collective Oddience serve up soulful summer vibes, a twist of 80s funk and a laidback flow with their debut track "Yes Sir", featuring Eddingtonn (also in PRJCTS ), Miche Maya and Tulip Pezley. In their own words, “It’s just that good amigo.” - By Nathan Hetherington Oddience - Yes Sir Oddience ( Facebook ) Rating 8.1
PRJCTS continues to synthesize massively catchy tunes that your rear end BEGS to bounce to. And they do it all in a casual/easy manner, as if they came up with it all on the walk to their girl's place. "Standing in the Mirror" takes Eddington's falsetto and Daniel's rhythms back to a 19502s childhood, full of [...]

During interviews and Q&As people often ask us what type of music The Recommender writes about. Our answer is always that we cover anything, so long as it's awesome. OK, so we don't cover much heavy rock, jazz, or speciality dance genres, so it is perhaps easier to list the type of music that we don't cover, but as for everything else it gets on if its good, very good. One genre that we're perhaps guilty of ignoring, although not entirely, is hip hop. If The Recommender is about trying to reward your curiosity with a selection of [...]

In a mixture of pure sexiness and uncontaminated delivery, vocalist Eddington and the production talents of Daniel let their unknown surnames dictate their fuller & broader output - captured brightly as their tightly woven project called PRJCTS . It does exactly what it says on the title cover tin. PRJCTS - Let It Bang! (Radio Edit)
The new Spiritualized video is remarkable in the fact that it made me uncomfortable for 10 minutes, but I watched all of it, and i'll remember it. That says something. Scarecrows and other faces of many levels of attractiveness throughout. Make sure you stay with the Miike Snow video till the end. -Matt

PRJCTS' "Eastside Wasteland" combines that jazzy soul with well dictated raps. This isn't just some poet tryin to get his words across, but real verbal artistry in the works. Love the style these two are pushin, although the quality in production, whether intended or not, needs some polishing. Still, much better than the original. Montage Populaire – ‘Reject Reinstall’ Experimental glam pop from UK. These fellas are new on the block, yet act like they own it - convincingly. This song is boisterous, melodic, and inventive with a jovial, harmonious chorus, noisy breaks that channel the art rock of Roxy Music , and playful synth sounds that are reminiscent of Olivia Tremor Control or of Montreal . ‘Reject Reinstall’ is the lead track from their debut EP Not All Bombs Explode. Can’t wait for this one... [...]
I love this song, and I don’t care to explain why. You may just figure it out for yourself once you listen. “Eastside Wasteland” is a mixture of experimental, relaxed hip-hop blended into a reggae diversion, all sponsored by The Who. The Prjcts are: Eddington Howard & Daniel L'Amour, two of our best pioneers in [...]
