"If tomorrow I was leaving to Zion, I wouldn't stay a minute more..." The biblical mountain of Zion lay close to the ancient city of Jerusalem, and somehow slowly but surely became a symbol for the 'world to come'. The rasta faith pictures it as the site of a new Jerusalem in the African country of Ethiopia, a future spot of milk and honey for righteous dreads. As an illustration, here's a sizzling roots reggae and dub ten pack about the desire to arrive there as soon as possible. Get ready to ride that lion... [...]

Poetic justice has a way of creeping up on the unsuspecting and slapping them right in the face with a giant claw and razor sharp nails. I admit, i have always cheered for the underdog. So when i heard that yesterday in Montana , a grizzly took out a bear hunter before going down in a blaze of glory i said to myself, "...death is whimsical today..." One for the grizzly ! The men are under investigation seeing [...]

High Klassified - Chocolate Chipsounds MusoNi - Shampooing Fortifiant High Klassified - Auto.Échantillonage A Montreal split production between composer "High-Klassified x MusoNi" All the way from Montreal and holding it down for the Golden Era...The Ode to the 90's sound has been translated through electrified sounds and Super Nintendo Snippets...Personally Not being a fan a digital gaming type of sound but will make an exception on this 11 tracked beat tape as the two standout from the rest...They hold it down and [...]

The Professionals formed in late 1979 after the demise of The Sex Pistols. After Johnny Rotten had left the Pistols, a make shift band was put together for a few recordings featuring session bassist Andy Allen and Steve Jones on vocals for the songs "Silly Thing" and "Lonely Boy". Later on that year the Pistols officially split and this line up was converted into a new group that would call themselves The Professionals. In July of 1980, The Professionals released their first single "Just Another Dream" backed with "Action Man". The music while people could make Sex Pistols references was [...]
Phi-Life Cypher are officially back off hiatus with the Apache-sampling 2, 3 Break - the first single to be taken from their soon to be released The Professionals album. Go to iTunes if you want this track ahead of the project.

Madlib has been at his prolific best in 2010, digging through stacks and stacks of dusty wax in order to concoct the looped creations for which he and his many alter egos have become famous for. Now, after taking a brief break from his well-oiled beat assembly line, 'Lib is firing up once again to release the 11th installment of the Medicine Show series. That's 11 albums in 12 months, folks. Most artists are luck to release 11 albums in their whole careers... work ethic is clearly not an issue [...]

Since you gossip like groupies, know this please/I'll never go broke, my name got two G's... Long before Willow was apart of the R.O.C. , Jigga stayed in some gangsta sh!t. Way back when DJ Clue was known as the most exclusive man in Hip-Hop, this Jay-Z and Ja Rule cut ranked as one of the standouts. The thought still lingers however. How dope could the trio of Shawn, Jeffery and Earl have been back in the late '90s had they really decided to [...]
Remember back when the UGHH retail store was a retail store and not a collection of computers / website storage? Remember when Trees + DJ ON&ON used to work there? Naw? Well yeah it happened.. that was like 2 years ago now, but the crystal clear memories of this day will never fade. I had just beat the entire UGHH staff in a 40 oz drinking contest .. And I was still doing my damn job. Fuck you if you think that I'm not a hard worker. who can forget [...]
Black Thought- The Professional Check out this unreleased Black Thought song and understand why he possibly could be the most underrated spitter in the game. People frequently forget just how good he is because the Roots as a group are so talented but Black Thought has some great rhyme schemes with some serious content too. I [...]

Part-time Bengals WR, and full-time endzone dancer Chad Ochocinco is devastated to learn that his new last name has certain negative connotations in other cultures. What started as a name change to not only honor the number on his back, but to also remember the last two digits of his ATM pin and social security number, seems like a cruel twist of fate. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, defiant to the core of anything American recently pointed out that "85ing" was very similar to "69ing", except it's done with a horse instead [...]

Being a professional athlete has to the be the second best profession around, deferring only to the person who paints bikinis on the swimsuit models . But what about those poor saps who may have a Massaroti, may have a big ol' house where they eat shrimp cocktail and tivo Sportscenter, but have a name that sounds like an infectious disease? Let's explore, but be sure to wear your hazmat suit . I'm sorry, sir. It's far worse than cancer. You've got D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Symptoms include hunch back , and the sprouting of large [...]
6 foot 10 high school hoops phenom, Jeremy Tyler, is forgoing his senior year of college , I mean high school , to try his hand at the pro game in Europe. Most notably in Spain, Italy, or Israel. Essentially, Jeremy is dropping out of school to pursue a dumptruck load of money. And they hate on people doing the same thing to sell rocks on the corner. I suppose the main difference is one "handles the rock like Meadowlark," and the other handles it like Nino Brown . [...]

As if the Chicago Cubs didn't already have enough going against them, add the humane society to that ever growing CURSE. So a cat ran on to Wrigley Field during a game last night, was chased Keystone-Cops-style by security guards, scratched and nipped its captors, and was eventually hoisted by its tail and unceremoniously lowered into the stands. The cat survived and the game went on, but the tail-grabbing has created a bit of an uproar among people who were at the game or watching on TV. Today the video is fast making its [...]

This is the Detroit Lion's new logo. Ooh scary. The script they chose to use makes it seem more like a fuckin' wave or a surf shop, instead of a football team. I think they need to be more realistic with their logos, so their fans don't expect too much. Check the better alternatives after the jump. The Detroit Fingers Crossed It's all based on luck. They're not gonna hit you. [...]
