John Talabot - Fin By Stef Siepel The Weekly Froth! A weekly take on six tracks, most of which have recently popped up somewhere in the blogosphere. Bit of a mixed bag with a slight leaning towards house, disco, and remixes, but generally just anything that for some reason tickled the writer's fancy. Track of the Week: 'So Will Be Now...' by John Talabot feat. Pional Love the start with those vocals, and love how quickly he adds to it with the [...]

What the fuck are Wolf Music feeding their artists recently?! Im gonna hazard a guess at just straight raw beef cut straight from a newborn calf because everything they are putting out is just so darn meaty!!! Greymatter have gone in on the remix for The Rapture - Come Back To Me... there's some lovely whomp whomp bassy bits to digest on this... PS.

Usually it's the artist who conducts his fan-crowd but in this case it is the other way round! For the fifth time DELL and Intel invite people around the world to an extraordinary experience in which followers have the power to collaborate with the performing artist before and during the show and aims to bring audiences and bands closer together than ever before. In this " Special Engagements " episode the devotees take control over Woodkid , a french performer and creativ head, who already worked together with Lana del Rey for her [...]

The multi-faceted dance-punk band The Rapture has certainly garnered alot of praise for their stirring comeback into the music world. Their fourth studio album and first since 2006, In The Grace Of Your Love , was released in September on the proud DFA record label, and has earned much respect from music critics and aficionados alike. Featuring a unique mix of influences from post-punk, to disco, to pure rock, The Rapture have gone ahead and created a style unique in it's own, and it shows throughout the album and in their artistry. In The Grace [...]

It's still the stupid season (or "silly season" if you're a purist). This means lots of parties and EVENTS, and exhaustion because you are getting old. And you can't party too much anyway because your nosy neighbour wants your tree trimmed but you still feel like you are too busy having FUN! And in the end your idea of fun is settling for marathons of Revenge and Parenthood because there's not much hard hitting drama lately. And while you haphazardly try to clutch at the crumbling remains of your youth, all of the female musos are modelling. Lana Del [...]

Snowing like crazy here in Chicago. Unlike Seattle we actually have snow plows. We also benefit from not having any hills. Anyways lets get to the some great music for your weekend. First is just one in a series of awesome cuts from the duo Oliver. We love ourselves some U-Tern over here at Analog Giant. Oliver - Dirty Talk by weareoliver The next track is from another duo. Casual Encounters is a group made up of Shawn Mac and Chas Bronz who are based in Boston and [...]

![[Introducing] – We Are Standard](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4000163_lg.jpg)
Tweet We Are Standard have actually been around since 2006, when they released their debut album, "3000 V 40000 W" to great success in Spain and Europe. I will admit to not having heard that record (it's not on Spotify) but I can vouch for the band's work from then on. For their next album, self-titled and released in 2008, the five-piece from Vizcaya (Basque Country, Spain) sought out Gang of Four guitarist [...]

Having highlighted the emergence of all things house as the overriding trend in electronic music in 2011, prepare your ears for one of the first essential remixes of this brand new year. A remix which, if we're honest, has slightly surprised us. Excluding the excellent "How Deep Is Your Love", The Rapture 's third album was a slightly disappointing listen - not only did it mark the departure of Mattie Safer, but was also rather light on the indiedisco bangers we have come to expect from the scene-defining group. One of the few songs to stand out [...]

In a rather novel twist the DFA guys led a live streamed panel to run through The Rapture "How Deep is Your Love" finalists and eventual winner. After a studious listen to all 11 entrants the winner was announced as Cyclist & Pat Lok , the British Canadian entry - although we had dibs on home-grown talent Cassian taking the blue ribbon. Full list of finalists below; Lapse (Capetown, South Africa) NTIEBINT (Athens, Greece) [...]

Though the picture may not be obvious, that's the artwork for the new Guided by Voices record out this week. Of course, that's not the only album out tomorrow in a week dominated by EPs (new ones from Matthew Dear , Murder Mystery , and The Rapture are all out). The Duke Spirit put out their Bruiser album physically; it was previously only available digitally. And while it may not technically be a "music" release, Adult Swim puts out Seasons One and Two of Delocated! on DVD. Check [...]
