I'm very happy to say that I've had the chance to ask one of my favourite producers at the moment, Coin Operated Boy, a few questions, fresh off the back of his huge Tranquility Lane EP , which has got support from everywhere, including Tiga and Fake Blood. How are things, Ed? Not bad at all thanks mate, how are you? Good mate, thanks! Pleasure to talk to you. So you've a remix [...]

Football season is looming around the corner. Training camp for rookies started in most places and it got me thinking, "This is the year I win my Fantasy Football League". The last couple of years I've come in second and third respectively. The year I came in second, I was SUPPOSE TO HAVE WON $150. Not a lot of money, but a deal is a deal. The commissioner of our league claimed to have had his house broken into and had the money stolen. Nobody got payed and we all got swindled. The funny thing [...]

We're just recovering from our last excursion to the nations's capital - so thanks to Biscuit Disco for their hospitality, and for not letting us sleep all weekend. Mad gig at the Macbeth in Shoreditch, a warehouse party in

Chiddy Bang is back with some much anticipated material from their upcoming mixtape "The Swelly Express" which is due out on the 29th of October. They've been at the top of our list for newcomers this year, with their strategic sampling of popular indie songs such as Passion Pits "Better Things" and more recently on their new track "All Things Go" sampling Sufjan Steven's "Chicago". The new mixtape "The Swelly Express" is been described by Chiddy Bang to be somewhat of an autobiography - a tale of two college kids breaking into the [...]

Haven't checked my inbox for a while, and too be honest, I was surprised to find the vast amount of heavy tunes in there. First up were some new remixes from up and coming producer, Jakwob . There's something about his style that places him in a whole different genre to me. His knack of "beautifying" everything gives his remixes more of a story line. I'll leave the rest for you to interpret, enjoy! The Toxic Avenger- The Fall (Jakwob Remix) [...]
Tuff Wheelz (Leroy Washington and Sevenfive) are preparing to drop original new material as well as quite a few new remixes in the months to follow. Earlier this year their remix of "Bonkers" quickly became an international electro favorite which is perhaps why this time around they decided to remind us that their loyalty lies with House music. They've provided two two full-length and unreleased demos for "Warning" and "Listen to Me" that made my speakers SING. These new tracks have some of the cleanest cuts i've heard, an infectiously good House vibe, and as always that Tuff Wheelz [...]

HelloHope you are enjoying your summer, rain or shine. We've certainly had plenty of both – especially Alessio who took a well-earned trip home to Italy and Jacko whose been living it (perhaps a bit too) large in Malia this past week. Now, and much more importantly, it's high time we got back to business and the ongoing musical adventure at hand! Thanks LOADS to those who came to check us out at
Who is Robot Disaster.....jump on it! Hello to all of you in cyberspace from all of us boys in Robot Disaster, For those of you who don't know, we're a gang of friendly electropunks playin' stuff with a beat, stuff that's deep and stuff that's danced to by the kids on the street. This is our first ever RD email update! We've got free downloads, news of our DEBUT SINGLE - OUT THIS WEEK, brilliant
Turntables used to be the musical vehicle that was bypassed by most, but according to ROBOT DISASTER , guitars are the over-rated instrument now. The song's pretty funny actually and it speaks loudly to the state of music (and music blogs). Where's the fun if you can't make fun of yourself? Naturally though, I prefer the remixes. SUXX does a pretty good job preparing the tune for the dancefloor. NEO TOKYO however, dials the robotdisco blend perfectly. [...]

As I've been a bad blogger recently (and have the attention span of a goldfish on ketamine) have decided to experiment with 'tweet' (shudder) sized copy for each track. First: Something Like Fire - supported us (St. Francis) at Camden gig recently. V. promising hummable indie meets LFO filter basslines and classic electronic drum sounds. Digitally re-hashed post-Libs hooks blasted from a bedroom-tech noise-core cannon*. (Obviously) Something Like Fire - Mr. Shadow A band that I posted ages ago have apparently got quite a [...]
The rather wonderfully named Gash Digital is the fruit of Ibiza Rocks residents and all-round nice guys; Gash DJs . They have set their stall out early as a label that isn't easy to pigeon hole and one which isn't shy of getting a healthy list of remixers on their packages - the newest installment even sees a remix by ourselves, so maybe they're running out now...Bristol based band 'Robot Disaster' provide the original; a blunt and very tongue in cheek look at the world of the Myspace musician - even managing to drop the [...]

You ever hear a remix before you actually hear the original song? If you like the remix, it can kinda ruin the original song for you. That was the case for me with The Robot Disaster's Guitars Are Overrated . I first heard the Neo Tokyo remix, I loved it, so when I finally listened to the original and it's Suxx remix today, I was shocked. The Neo Tokyo is put through the T-Pain/Daft Punk ringer, but the original is more of an Bloc Party-esque/English-dance punk track. Neither [...]

I should be writing about disarmament but FUCK THAT here's music that's good! I'm Not Alone (Deadmau5 Remix) - Calvin Harris See The Light (Calvin Harris Remix) - The Hours The Fear (Duke Dumont Remix) - Lily Allen We Gonna Give You The Lesson - Mr Miyagi Because You Left - Neo Tokyo Guitars Are Overrated (Neo Tokyo Remix) - The Robot Disaster [...]
