If you caught any of Major Lazer's frantic, fun-as-hell festival-rocking live shows over the last few years, you likely saw girls twerking on speaker-risers, Skerritt Bwoy performing death-defying feats of daggering, and Diplo perched behind his DJ table, looking vaguely bemused at the whole spectacle. But the Major Lazer that appeared last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon was a very different beast. Diplo, all suited up, played keyboard on the slow, sultry reggae song " Get Free " while Dirty Projectors singer Amber Coffman cooed on the mic, her bandmate Dave Longstreth held down guitar duties, [...]

With their new album, Free The Universe , due out next Tuesday, the Diplo -led Major Lazer made their way to the stage of  Late Night With Jimmy Fallon as the musical guest to perform " Get Free ". Diplo actually shares a majority of the camera time with guests Amber Coffman and David Longstreth, both of Dirty Projectors . The Roots provide some backing instrumentation, too, making this cut truly come to life. It's a laid-back jam to it, but it's still got a serious groove. Watch below.

It's not every night that DJs go out of their way to perform live on television, but then again,  Major Lazer isn't any ordinary brand of DJ. Last night, Diplo brought his production project to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon , where he performed "Get Free" alongside  The Roots and Dirty Projectors' Amber Coffman and Dave Longstreth. Next week, Ghostface Killah will release Twelve Reasons To Die , the soul-rap concept album he made with the producer and composer Adrian Younge. Last night, he stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon to perform the album track "I Declare War," and he had a pretty amazing cast of supporting players with him: the Roots, Younge, fellow Wu-Tang veterans Masta Killa and Killah Priest, and a lady who sang operatic spaghetti-western backing vocals.
