As a native Los Angeleno, I have a strong affection for any song that mythologizes my hometown. Yacht's "Shangri-La" does just that. Heck, even the logo for the song does a unique take on my beloved Dodger's LA. The Portland transplants clearly have developed a deep affection for their new surroundings. As they put it, "Basically, any place can be Utopia. But it doesn't hurt when that place is already Los Angeles."
