Fabric has a fairly long running tradition of hugely successful nights being ran by hugely successful musicians, so it's a pretty smart move to keep up to date with the movers and shakers over in Farringdon. Running 'Kill Em All' with the now borderline mahoosive Filthy Dukes, whilst manning the tills at legendary music shop Pure Groove is Stopmakingme - a young upstart with designs on producing the music that he so deftly mixes on a regular basis on some of the country's biggest nights. With a selection policy of "unwashed heavy electro, mutant new wave, huge disco, pulsing techno, [...]

It's been a couple of weeks since Pelski layed down some dubstep...so here goes: First, we have skittery beats and dark, ominous bass pervading a superb piece of dubstep from London newcomer Monkey. A strained diva vocal faintly echoes amidst antsy 2-step - I'm addicted to this track and thanks go to our hommies over at Chrome Kids - the best grime/dubstep blog - for sending this one over a couple of weeks back. Monkey - Never Knew [pelski highly recommends] Next up [...]
By all accounts, this should be terrible. The all-female keyboard quartet Sisters of Transistors should be a gimmick band, something along the lines of the Mediaeval Baebes; a group marketed on nothing except their gender and a nostalgic fondness for solid state electrical engineering. Yet Berdu Mig Út Ad Sjó (sung in Icelandic, no less), from their 2009 album At The Ferranti Institute surmounts all obstacles and is revealed as something wonderful and strange. Chanted vocals, wide-eyed dissonance and enough arpeggiation to satisfy this old minimalist aficionado all combine in a glorious manner, [...]

So tell us about your new project, Sisters of Transistors? I've read on the press release (thanks Bang on PR) that you conceived the project from various purchasing of vintage Italian Organs from Ebay. Care to share some stories on your most expensive purchase from Ebay? Tell us about the mysterious South Manchester Museum of Keyboard technology,(S.M.M.O.K.T)? Would it be fair of me to
Sisters of Transistors (the wonderful side project from 808 state member,Graham Massey) is going off on a beautiful start with their 3D-Esq video of "The Don", which should give you a frightful delight! Acid Girls have put together a remix of "The Don" which you can have for free.......however if you are going to DJ this remix, it's best if you didn't because its set on a low bitrate (sorry)
for the record, this is the third time on the same leg. Here's a funny video we found around on the interwebs Not terribly brilliant but quite entertaining. Got two new-ish tunes for y'all, one by the ever-great Acid Girls , demonstrating their penchant for what one could call 'dark disco' The Don (Acid Girls Grey Disco Remix) - Sisters Of Transistors and a new track from the much-loved Computer Club along with his fellow southerner [...]

Today, in the Electro music memesphere, we learned: Uffie is NOT pregnant, Felix Cartal remixed MSTRKRFT, HEARTSREVOLUTION released Switchblade to promote their new Switchblade EP, and Acid Girl made one hell of a catchy remix of Sisters in Transistors' The Don. HEARTSREVOLUTION-Switchblade [...]

Ex Hooligan Disco is the new genre! Yesterday I went for a walk. Since autumn have hit Umeå hard, I went down to the cellar, trying to find a winter jacket. Later, when I put my hand in the pocket, I discoverd an old packet of chewing gums. Since I'm very curious/stupid I just had to try what they tasted like, beeing over a year old. Well, I just shouldn't have. That's all I'm going to say about it. Autumn brings feelings to life. I've been listening quite a lot to Polarkreis 18 lately, which is [...]

L.A duo Jaime and Greg AKA Acid Girls goes dark disco with this wonderful remix of the track "The Don" (the single will drop on September 29) from Graham Massey's (808 State) new project Sisters of Transistors . Sisters Of Transistors - The Don (Acid Girls Grey Disco remix) (YSI) Sisters Of Transistors - The Don (Acid Girls Grey Disco remix) (zShare) PS. For a sweet new mix from Acid Girls, head on over to Disco Dust .

Our friends over at BIG STEREO got to this one first, but we can never pass up an opportunity about on of our own! ACID GIRLS have a new remix out of GRAM MASSEY's (of 808 STATE fame) new project SISTERS OF TRANSISTORS . It's a real winner too! ACID GIRLS have only been getting better with each remix and song they write. This remix is a surefire showcase of this, displaying a darker more disco inspired side of them. It's a must have. Wait till you hear [...]

Hey WRMC, my name is Taylor and im the electro manager. I also like to blog, and thought id throw some badass stuff up for WRMC. Sisters of Transistors put out the track 'The Don' pretty recently, which was pretty great. However, it just got worked over by Acid Girls . They absolutely kill it. Check it Sisters of Transistors - The Don (Acid Girls Grey Disco Remix) Also, if ya wanna cop more great music, take a [...]

i've recently been speculating as to why the acid girls are as underrecognized as they are. while they don't have a weekly output of remixes like most of the blogosphere, they do have a solid body of distinct tracks showcasing their unique taste. is it possible for a group to be too unique and therefore fall between the genre cracks? i'm not quite sure but i speculate this might be a clue to the puzzle. the guys themselves couldn't even give me more descriptive words than 'techno' or 'weird electro' when i asked them to elaborate [...]
Last week we brought you the video of the debut single from Graham Massey's new project, Sistors of Transistors, this week, thanks to the kind folks at BangOn we have a nice dubby Acid Girls... [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Acid Girls prove once again that there is more to life than pontificating about music on the internet with a joyous remix of The Don , the debut release on This Is Music from Sisters of Transistors - the culmination of one acid house veteran's collaboration with a bunch of talented female musicians from greater Mancunia Sisters of Transistors - The Don (Acid Girls Grey Disco Remix) Upfront vinyl copies at Piccadilly , full release 29th September

The Sisters of Transistors is the new project of Graham Massey of 808 State fame. The band is "an all girl organ quartet specialising in Baroque Disco Prog and Party Horror Soundtracks." If that doesn't peak your interest then I dunno what will... maybe an Acid Girls remix? Acid Girls play off the disco of the original and create a darker version that'll light up dance floors. Top notch: The Sisters of Transistors - "The Don" (Acid Girls Grey Disco remix) And since everything is better in [...]
