Sketches of Floating Lives by SOulspeak SOulspeak is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Beijing. "Sketches of Floating Lives" is a project that is dedicated to the dirt and beauty of a rapidly changing city (Beijing) and to all the lives of people who feel rootless in a city always in construction, demolition, and chaos.

Here is an exciting new project from SOulspeak, a college roommate of the homie Jon Kim who also happens to be a rather talented musician. The Beijing-based producer put together Sketches of Floating Lives from city inspiration, as the Chinese metropolis continues to expand at an alarming rate. The music is eclectic and expansive, filled with beautiful and sleazy moments. As you would expect from an urban setting like Beijing. Give it a listen and let us know what you think.

The picture above is probably the very first sketch of the TMNT characters by Kevin Eastman, who drew it to make fellow creator Peter Laird laugh one night at their Dover, NH apartment way back in 1983. I'm not gonna lie, I think this is the first time I have ever heard Pakistani music. Especially Pakistani electronic music. "Sketches" is the first single off of Talal Quereshi's upcoming debut EP titled 'The Equator'. The extra heavy bass gives the track so much weight, yet the crispy melodies that are layered on top of it make the song so much more uplifting.
