With a debut record coming out later this year, local electronic pop band Shock (Dan Judd of Sorcerer/Windsurf, Terri Loewenthal of Rubies, and Michael Taras) are performing at a free epicsauce-produced show this Friday night. The above reworking by Chautauqua (Loose Shus and Randy "Hotthobo" Ellis) applies a new age synth palette to "Heaven." Listen to the original and a dub remix by The Beat Broker below. Great new track from SF's downbeat cosmic producer Sorcerer. Loving the song title as well. "Deeply Creepy" showcases what Sorcerer does best check it out.Great remix by Brothertiger of Teendaze's track "Brooklyn Sunburn." Excellent work that makes you think of warm summer days (even though its still freezing here in Chicago). The final track is from the Danish duo DATO. David Kosteljanetz and Thomas Erichsen put together this great disco track. Hadn't heard any of their stuff until today and I am really impressed by this track. Very good. Check it out.

Watch: The Sorcerer's Apprentice

We love this! "Heaven" from Shock, a new band out of SF that features Dan Judd of Sorcerer, is great. On the track, an excellent space disco bed frames up the breathy chanteuse vocals of Terri Loewenthal. Catch a little surrealist dance party below. White Wizzard , also known as the more traditional half of Holy Grail (who were initially called Sorcerer ), are die-hard-in-denim: They refuse to acknowledge that any time has passed (musically speaking, anyway) since, say, 1985. They wear tons of band patches proudly. They won't detune. I admire that. I admire their taking a stand. Unfortunately, it's also their major problem. It appears their muse is both very demanding and very narrow-minded. Short version of Flying Tigers (sweet cover, though, huh?)-- the first half is a bad [...]

Summer takes a sudden fall. It may get back up, or maybe not. Having un-closeted my jacket, flipped open the umbrella, and drawn arms in to hold warmth, I abscond to the imaginary sunshine. What better audio companion for this escape than the Sorcerer , who again proves that he needs no apprentice. Sorcerer - The Dream

Formed from the ashes of the original line-up of White Wizzard, Los Angeles traditional metal band Holy Grail have been generating a buzz after last year's release of their debut EP "Improper Burial". The band has been confirmed as direct support for Blind Guardian's fall North American At The Edge of Time tour, which kicks off on November 19th in Philadelphia, PA at the Trocadero. The tour stops at the Best Buy (aka Nokia) Theater on the 20th. Seven Kingdoms is also on the bill for the NYC show and tickets [...]

Un simple gimmick qui se répète sans fin avec de légères modulations, il n'en faut pas plus à Sorcerer le King de l'hypnose pour ensorceler. A simple gimmick repeating endlessly with light modulations, that is what it takes to Sorcerer, the Hypnosis King, to bewitch. The Attic Dub - Sorcerer Chemise - Sorcerer [...]

Bay Area musician Dan Judd aka Sorcerer is no cheap conjurer of tricks. The kid has a great sound ala Lindstrom and Prins Thomas or as he calls it "nu-balearic-cosmic-disco-slow -mo-awesome-house". He is also part of the equally great groups Hatchback and Windsurf . Check out some of his awesome music on Soundcloud. R&B Killa by sorcerermusic Aqua by Windsurf [...]

I know it's a kinda weird headline, but this week there has been a lot of parties. Monday night me and the band celebrated the release of "Florida" at the beautiful "Södra Teatern" in Stockholm. We had a great night, the place was packed and we played 8 of the songs from the new album. No one asked me if I could play any ABBA so that was a perk! Yesterday I attended my friend Dusty Monroe 's release party for his debut album. Dusty himself looked a bit like Robert Smith on stage with wild makeup [...]

Only a fool would have decided to ruin the Friday night fun by posting noise. That's why I decided to postpone Nana April Jun for some time to spice up tonight a bit. Apparently the new promos from our favourite nudisco providers Tirk and Bear Funk are the best choices to post tonight. Steve Kotey's Kotey Extra Band and label stalwart Bottin gets to cook a "Hot Ring" inspired by the Riz Ortolani soundtrack for "The Girl In The Yellow Pyjamas", which in the words of the label "bounce [...]

The Love Supreme are a four piece production outfit from Italy. Their about to release a fantastic LP on the Idjut Boys Tirk Label . It's kind of incredible. Actually it is incredible... SoCal indie poppers Princeton had themselves a very solid all around year.
