The harmonic sisterly outfit have released a compilation of older material which also includes their latest Ep, ' The Mother Lode ' for a full stream. The mecca of the current rootsy resurgance here in the UK is Ben Lovett's Communion label. When he's not stamping his feet and playing keys with his paymasters - that little-known group called Mumford & Sons - Lovett has welcomed artists such as Michael Kiwanuka, Ben Howard, The Staves, Gotye, Daughter and To Kill a King into its bossom. Austin, TX - Nestled between the adrenaline-crazed beast that is 6th street and the increasingly popular Central Presbyterian Church, St. David's Episcopal Church feels like an oasis for the sedentary and sane-minded. On this night at least, it was indeed the much more muted second cousin to the Presbyterian, where legions came out for Fiona Apple.
