The first track released from the Arctic Monkeys ' forthcoming 2011 release for the track "Brick By Brick" finds the band diving deeper into classic rock territory. In other "monkey news", Alex Turner will be releasing the 6 Track Submarine EP on March 15th new songs from the film of the same name directed by Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd). The Ep will be released via CD, Digital and 103 LP.

If you're a fan of American TV shows or have been to gigs in the US over the last 2 years you may have come across Scanners. Their music has featured in the likes of 'One Tree Hill', 'Entourage' and the new series of 'Beverley Hills 90210' as well as movies 'Endgame' and 'Mama's Boy'. They've toured with such names as The Horrors, Air, The Mystery Jets , The Wedding Present and Silversun Pickups. They've even appeared on The Carson Daly show. I'm dying to hear Alex Turner's Submarine EP , just like the rest of Arctic Monkey nation. It officially drops March 15th. Amazon has posted short clips of all 6 songs from the EP for us to listen to. The samples are brief, but they give us a good idea at what we should expect from this EP. Arctic Monkeys ' front man and guitarist Alex Turner has announced details of his first solo release. Turner has previously worked outside his main band with Miles Kane in The Last Shadow Puppets however he is going it alone with a six track EP due for release next month.
