Aigin Larki Transmission is an event held in Vancouver every year whose mandate is, in wonderfully business-y speak, to showcase "export-ready artists and business-ready professionals". Of Montreal was originally scheduled to be the first big act to play at Transmission Entertainment's newly acquired venue, Radio Room. The opening of the Sixth Street venue has been pushed back indefinitely and as a result, the show was moved to the surprisingly under-utilized Fiesta Gardens. Je viens d'écouter le film "control" qui relate la vie de Ian Curtis chanteur de Joy division. Cette excellent film ma donner le gout de blogger une chanson du mythique groupe pour que les autres auteurs, qui n'ont aucune ou presque aucune culture rock, puissent écouter ce que je crois être l'un des meilleurs groupes de tout les temps. Expect more regular updates starting now. Why? I made it through the Toronto Film Fest in once piece. Did I see a film? Transmission Entertainment's Radio Room is a new music venue in Austin. It's located at 508 E. 6th St. (formerly Bourbon Rocks). The 1,000 capacity club was supposed to play host to Of Montreal this November 13, but there's been a change in plans. Radio Room will instead open next Spring. This year's FFF Fest has a little bit for everyone. It all goes down November 8th and 9th at Austin's Waterloo Park. It doesn't pack the "big name" punch the ACL line up does but I feel they are really carving a niche for themselves by offering a much more diverse "indie" festival.
