Sleigh Bells have just dropped a new song from their brand new record, Reign of Terror over at Zane Lowe's show. "Born To Lose" is as loud as every song that the band has released on Treats, yet there is a sense of giving more attention to the melodies here, and making everything seem a bit more in control. "Born to Lose" is the first single from Brooklyn-based duo Sleigh Bells ' upcoming sophomore album, Reign of Terror . Picking up right where Treats left off, guitarist/composer Derek Miller seems to be extracting further from his hardcore punk roots as the song seems to indicate heavier things to come. Stream the new track below and pick up the album in February.
If you liked 20102s kick in the face Treats from Sleigh Bells you will most likely still enjoy this track. "Born To Lose" is the first peak we have of the duo's forthcoming Reign album slated for a February release. It's got all the punch Sleigh Bells is known for, but minus the vocal distortion that ran through Treats , which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
