Manta Ray Night Scheint so, als wäre der Weihnachtsmann dieses Jahr überpünktlich. Aus einer simplen Ideen, einen kleinen Event im Festsaal zu veranstalten, wuchs etwas derart Pompöses hervor, wie wir es uns nicht hätten vorstellen können. Am Donnerstag beschmückt das Pink-Pong Team den Festsaal Kreuzberg und hat sich einen ganz besonderen Partner an die Seite genommen: Manta Ray. Damit ist nicht unbedingt der Aquarien-König gemeint, sondern die Management Agentur mit Sitz in London und Berlin. Und diese feiern ihre "Betriebsweihnachtsfeier" dieses Jahr im großen Stile. The Tunics Nunja, nicht mehr allzu neu, allerdings besser als vieles anderes. The Tunics kommen aus London, genauer aus Croydon. Genauso klingen sie auch, wie eben diese jungen Bands aus den Großstädten von England die sich, streng genommen, vom Sound her eigentlich alle ziemlich ähnlich sind. Mit dieser Einstellung ging ich an The Tunics ran und wurde einmal mehr eines besseren belehrt, unbedingt dieses Klischeedenken abzulegen.
