Kürzlich als unser Album der Woche gefeiert, starteten The Wars mit ihrem Debütalbum 'Healings' durch. Das Erstwerk der Berliner Band, erinnert uns nicht nur an Interpol, Joy Division und diverse andere Bands der Post-Punk Generation, nein, es spricht durchaus seine eigene Sprache. This song has been floating all over the Internet this morning as the Danish group formerly known as War changed their name to Var -you might also know about the group already due to their relationship (read: participation) with Iceage . There's a really throbbing electronic element to this track, and while I realize that the vocals are not the most pristine, there is some element of this song that keeps me coming back. I don't know, there's some tribal element in the demi-chant, and I just want to play the song [...]

What: Iceage offshoot VÅR (FKA War ) showcase the moves of Icelandic-born, Peruvian-raised male stripper Louis Toro in the music video for "In Your Arms (Final Fantasy)". In an interview with Pitchfork , the group said the moniker (meaning "spring" in Danish) symbolizes a new musical direction, as they now identify themselves as a multimedia project. The group's full-length LP is due out sometime next year via Sacred Bones. Directed by: Kristian Emdal

Young Danes Elias Ronnenfelt (Iceage) and Loke Rahbek make up War, a group that creates dark, electronics-heavy tracks like " Somme, Maggio ." And now, like some other bands have done recently - trend piece ! - they're changing their name. They're going with VÅR, which translated means "spring." The faces of the men, young and old, staring from behind the wire, "barely able to believe that they would be delivered from a Nazi camp where the only deliverance had been death," attest with an awful eloquence to the depths of human depravity and, maybe even more powerfully, to the measureless lineaments [...]

Ya en previas ocasiones les habia hablado sobre este nuevo proyecto que acaba de armar Elias Bender Rønnenfel de Iceage en colaboracion con Loke Rahbek de Sexdrome llamado War el cual aunque hasta el momento no cuenta con ningun material de larga duracion, hace un par de semanas edito su primer sencillo en formato de vinyl a traves de Sacred Bones pero ademas, solo tuvieron que pasar un par de dias de su aparicion para que la gente de AVANT! decidiera editar otro sencillo de War asi que como podran ver, vienen [...]
