Tweet Back in August we wrote about the The Wild Mercury Sound and their release Miss Frost . It's taken a while but they've released a follow up single Slow (no pun intended). If you carry on reading you'll discover the aforementioned song in YouTube format. You can skip the obligatory 2 paragraphs of waffle if you'd prefer but you'll miss out on all sorts of handy and interesting information. Firstly, The Wild Mercury Sound are from London. They [...]

So the FirstAndForever Fest organized by Dr Martens is still going on. Its a series of instore gigs around the UK featuring some awesome and upandcoming bands. This Thursday, Wild Mercury Sound will be making an appearance at the Spitalfields branch. I'm really looking forward to the Rolo Tomassi one in Leeds on 20th of October though. Those guys are mental. The instore shows are free but you know, they're in a store so space is limited. Anyway Agyness Deyn and Ash Stymest (two of my fav models) star in the photos for [...]

So, you thought that because the summer had ended there wasn't any more large-scale live music on? Well think again. Well, medium scale, at any rate. Dr Martins, the shoe makers, have been putting on some shows in their stores recently. If you've been to one of the shows in Liverpool, Cardiff or Leeds then lucky you. If not, I'm afraid you missed three pretty good bands. However, if you're London-based you've got a couple more chances to see some of their choice bands. The Spitalfields store is hosting Wild Mercury Sound on Thursday and then you can catch Rolo [...]

The Wild Mercury Sound, aptly titled after a famous Dylan quote, crossed the Sirens sonar last night while I was searching for Hurricane Irene information. Yes, that lovely storm that the news is calling "as large as all of Europe" - the selfsame one that is gonna bury Manhattan…well let's hope not. It does make one nervous, though. It does, it does. "Miss Frost" is anything but frosty. Honestly, it's a bit sexy. I'll even go out on a limb and say it reminds me of former indie darlings Kings of Leon - not in the way it [...]

Tweet I'm watching highlights from Reading & Leeds on BBC3. My Chemical Romance are on, they're kinda Emo Punk meets S Club 7, I've only just realised. Fortunately my TV has a mute button and my MacBook has handy volume controls to turn up this beaut of a track from teenage indie kings Wild Mercury Sound . If you like what you hear then you can get Miss Frost when it's released in October or you can check them out on [...]

Our first Compilation album! After many weeks of preparation and organisation, we are immensely proud to present to you all the final track listing of the Number 1 covers so brilliantly produced by 15 hard working and very talent bands and artists. A special mention should also be accredited to Bravestation who's Talking Heads track we've included as a bonus track. When we originally contacted each band, we simply presented our idea to them and asked them to produce the best quality track that they could. With no funding other than money from their own backpockets, [...]
It is with great honour, and excitement, that we can announce Crack In The Road 's 1st Compilation Album! We've recently passed our first year in existence and, in that time, Crack In The Road has gone from a casual blog, to one of the most respected and widely read independent music and arts websites in the UK. Therefore we felt that after such a year of hard work and achievement, we should suitably mark the occasion with a compilation album featuring some of our favourite artists whose music has featured on our site over the past [...]

adorable adorable indie that magically fell through my inbox. think ' Hounds Of Love ' meets ' You Already Know ' and you're pretty much there; perfect. The Wild Mercury Sound are working on their debut EP. The Wild Mercury Sound - Chemistry
There was a time when Ash used to affix a sticker to their releases that confirmed that they were in fact Guaranteed Real Teenagers (GRT). If there were any leftover I'm sure the Wild Mercury Sound would gladly snap them up given that their average age means they are excluded from having a legal pint for at least a couple of years. Don't be surprised then when you hear their music that it's
