In an odd bit of timing as we're inaugurating our regurgitation of the Mp3's we're sent for your thumbs up or thumbs down (and by the way don't overload us with feedback...sheez...) Dick Clark, the originator of the concept and "America's Oldest Teenager" turned 80 yesterday. (That's a lot of Clearasil.) I kid. Onto the records! Daisy McCrackin - Say You Do (Mp3) "Daisy's been getting a lot of [...]

[ via ] Normally I do these posts as sets of three but time is short tonight. Apples In Stereo's Robert Schneider has a new side project called Thee American Revolution , who, in turn, have a track called Power House. It's sort of a standard Detroit garage rock riff and, to be honest, I didn't really care for it until 1/3 of the way in when it starts with the "do you really want to know your mind ..." part. [...]

Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo always has a lot going on. Whether it's his children's music alter ego Robbert Bobbert, co-running Garden Gate Records or just playing with old friends, he's always got something to keep himself (and his fans) occupied. Now his latest creation is finally finished; you can pick up Thee [...]
The holidays are over, which is a big YAY for anyone looking for signs of life from the music industry via new releases. It's still a relatively small week, but things are finally revving back up. I'm excited about what appears to be a stateside release of Burial's contribution to the DJ-Kicks series. Lots of people are talking about Glasvegas , so I'll probably check that out, too. And any of you Apples In Stereo fans should check out Thee American Revolution , Robert Schneider's new band. Also, [...]

Back to the Lexington band compilation Know Your Own vol. 3. This track comes to us from Thee American Revolution, which features Robert Schneider of the Apples in Stereo on guitar/vocals. "Saturn Daze" will be on TAR's upcoming record Buddah Electrostorm. MP3: Thee American Revolution - Saturn Daze I've always said ...

Hey everyone, here's a birthday present I can share with you , courtesy Robert Schneider. It's a new song from Thee American Revolution , from their forthcoming LP, Buddha Electrostorm . Can I just say that it blows my mind? Thee American Revolution - Powerhouse
There's something about a free show show that brings out the excitement in people. Case in point, The American Revolution's show this past Friday at the University of Kentucky. I can't imagine any more than a handful had heard of the band before, and even fewer had probably seen them. ...

This past week, Hilarie Sidney, ex-wife of lead singer Robert Schnieder and drummer/sometime vocalist, left Apples in Stereo. It was an amicable split from what I've read, but it'll be a little different without her in the band. Her drumming style was...mediocre...but the songs that she sang on were always a breath of fresh air, and often my favorite Apples songs. The Apples, thankfully, haven't split up, but I figured I'd use this post to highlight some recent side projects of Robert and Hilarie. The High Water Marks - Queen of [...]
