From the San Luis Obispo, California indie folk-rock act Candle comes an album filled with harmonies and sentimental sadness. Miles & Miles & Miles is due out on March 22nd on the bands own label, Real Love Records . I am sure 'First Sight' would have managed quite well on its own without the distraction that the words introduce. Even though they are a perfect fit for the music when Jesse Elliott sings atop what could be the Postal Service at 33rpm the union sounds a tad detached. This is at least half of the attraction of These United States, they sound as if they are making up their own rules as they go
After years of teasing, DC's These United States are finally releasing their debut album. A Picture of the Three of Us at the Gate to the Garden of Eden (try saying that really fast) will be released on March 4 and they will be supporting it with ridiculous amounts of touring. Yikes, I'm sitting here overloaded with a million things to check out and do, but I did stumble upon this little gem that made me throw everything else off the table. Of course it's only a single and who knows how the album will sound, but if it's as good as this single... it'll be exciting.
