What did Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig do to inspire such vitriol? The post Puig Destroyer Beat You with a Baseball Bat appeared first on MetalSucks .
Puig Destroyer, which I thought was a typo for a while but is actually a grindcore "supergroup", posted their first single on Bandcamp! It's surprisingly good. Puig Destroyer…it's a thing now, apparently. A new all-star grindcore group has been formed featuring members of Thrice, Curlupanddie and Kowloon Walled City, inspired by baseball player Yasiel Puig of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Riley Breckenridge, drummer for Thrice posted the following update: "Puig Destroyer is actually happening. It's a baseball-themed grindcore project featuring Mike ... As far as I'm concerned Manchester Orchestra are front in center when it comes to records I'm anticipating this year. From a recent tweet made on their official twitter, it appears the band will be releasing something new w/ Thrice and O'brother . Details are sparse at the moment, but I'll update with any more developments.

Don’t let the fact that Bloody Beetroots is headlining fool you – the Hilltop Arena will be THE place to get your dubstep fix for the day. The range of dubstep DJs is wide, and will consist of everything from all-out grimey drops to more relaxed melodic wobbles. The stage also has some great wildcards thrown in that will surely mix things up, including live performance, drum and bass, and mashups. So when you are tired of hearing synth drop after synth drop over at the Main Stage, head down to Hilltop for a (literal) change of pace. [...]

The Canadian duo Adventure Club made a huge splash last summer when they released their very sexy remix of Flight Facilities' 'Crave You'. Since then they have been flexing their remix muscles, tackling everyone from Metric to Britney Spears to Thrice, perfecting their uniquely lyrical and refreshingly poppy dub sound along the way. On Wednesday Adventure Club uploaded yet another rework, this time for fellow Canadians Alexisonfire's 'To A Friend'. Once again the boys have injected the original with a soothing and sensual beat (some call it chillstep, but they are so much [...]

The Modern Post (Dustin Kensrue of Thrice's new band) have announced they will release their debut EP "Grace Alone" on August 14th. A new song titled "Before The Throne" can be streamed here .

Last-day-of-tour pranks are the stuff of legends. Nakedness, piping sex noises through the PA, messing with a band's gear while they play, nakedness, more nakedness... why are onstage pranks always all about the twig n' berries? Thrice and O'Brother decided to keep their clothes on when they played a prank on Animals as Leaders during [...]

Thrice The farewell tour for Thrice is winding down as this was the last night with openers O'Brother and Animals as Leaders . Thrice's final show will be a multi-hour affair with no openers at the Observatory . O'Brother O'Brother really blew me away. Tapping into a primordial sludge in the vein of Queens of [...]
Thrice's Farewell Tour was the last chance for all the devoted and die-hard fans to see the melodic hardcore outfit before their indefinite hiatus. I consider myself a newly minted Thrice fan, despite being introduced to them four years ago thanks to their tour with Rise Against. With the release of their new album Major/Minor, [...]
