Jay-Z 's long-awaited follow-up to 2009's The Blueprint 3 has been announced: Magna Carta Holy Grail will be released on July 4th. During game five of the 2013 NBA Finals, a three-minute trailer debuted. The trailer showed Hov in the studio with Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland and Rick Rubin (who very recently served as executive producer on Kanye's Yeezus ), where they discuss the beats and rhythms behind this new record. In case you weren't watching the NBA Finals, Jay-Z rolled out his first execution with Samsung in a major way. Hov didn't debut a song , but he does star in a three-minute commercial, which also features a who's who of notable producers in Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Pharrell and Rick Rubin. Wow!! Thats the only word that comes to mind I hear what Miami production duo, Urban Noize, did to this track. Whereas the original embodided all the elements of a Timbaland joint, this remix has a smooth Drake style all over it. And the Aaliyah flip at the end! Incredible. With this one, we felt like we took away the Timbaland element of the record so much, that it pretty much became a Drake record. And adding on Miguel gave it another dynamic even more.
