Timo Räisänen's cover album '...And Then There Was Timo' must be one of the oddest of its kind in recent memory. The selections are literally all over the place. Rarely can you find covers of AC/DC, Dolly Parton, Sonny & Cher, Josh Groban, Whitney, Mariah, and the obligatory Radiohead all in one tracklist. His approach is tongue-in-cheek, and a bit 'Let's throw all at the walls and see what sticks', but there are some gems here. Album number three from Timo Raisanen seems to be the charm. I first heard of him from Pelle Carlberg , not directly from the horse's mouth. It was his duet with Ida Maria that lead me to Timo, after I Love You, You Imbecile, I found out she was working Raisanen. My first impression of his music was that it was somewhat over the top, but with Love Will Turn You Around he's reigned in some of those tendencies and come up with a great record. The new Timo Räisänen album "Love will turn you around" surprised me. I've always been iffy on his earlier records so the huge opening riffs of "My valentine" came as a huge surprise. Timo doing bombastic pop? Really? I thought that "Sweet Marie" was as a promising lead single, but in no way did it prepare me for this. Timo Räisänen strålade verkligen av lycka när han berättade att hans låt Fear no darkness, promised child gått upp till fjärdeplats på Trackslistan tidigare under dagen. Strålade gjorde däremot inte solen mer än under de första två låtarna något Timo tjatade väldigt mycket om fick dessutom en stor del av publiken att ropa "BUUUU!" åt den.
