Tindersticks released this week The Hungry Saw. I gave it few listen, and so far it is very good (those Tindersticks album always grow on you). Drawn from their first album in five years and seventh studio album in total, the newly stripped down Tindersticks are now operating as a three piece. The personality and character of Stuart Staples still shines through on 'The Flicker of a Little Girl' however. Backed by a lulling mix of flute, guitar and piano, it's a song that is reminiscent of Nick Drake crossed with the mood splashed across Goldfrapp's Seventh Tree : a distant autumnal memory.
