This is pretty much the coolest thing I've heard in a long time. A new rock supergroup called Tinted Windows has formed, comprised of Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger, Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. As Pitchfork said earlier today, this doesn't seem to be a joke. The band is called Tinted Windows and features the Smashing Pumpkins' James Iha, Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, Taylor from Hanson, and Adam Schlesinger, Fountains of Wayne's bassist and lyrical mastermind. Cool, right? I think so. Tinted Windows has finished recording its debut album and expects to release it this spring. Though Tinted Windows is a new group, its members have been making music for years. Are random strands of the universe accidentally touching and overlapping? Or are these dudes just that desperate? Maybe all of the above? This makes my head hurt.
