I've been sitting on this post about Brooklyn's Tiny Victories for months. I absorbed the band and mulled over what to say, I kept trying to see them live and decided that my writing would wait until then. Not that recordings and performance should be viewed as inclusive, but they coexist. Both inform what you know as "the band". Tiny Victories is, surprisingly, just two people: Greg Walters and Cason Kelly. While both are multi-instrumentalists, during their live setup you will see Kelly mostly behind drums, while Walters is on [...]

i've been trying to get in but all i can say is they've got a million different ways to make you pay ♫ Tiny Victories - Mr Bones Remember when Tiny Victories gave us "Lost Weekend" and we fell in love with it's big propulsive beat and sweet vocal hooks? Remember when we bought the EP with real money and were so stoked to find out that all 5 of the songs work perfectly with the repeat setting? Remember when we say that they played a Brooklyn [...]
Earlier this week, Tiny Victories released a music video for "Mr. Bones," the first single off the Brooklyn-based duo's debut EP, Those of Us Still Alive. Not only is the two-piece's brand of electro-pop infectiously catchy, but the dance party shown in the clip looks like barrels of fun. I want to go to there.

Tiny Victories is the duo of Cason Kelly and Greg Walters. Together they mix samplers, gadgets, and live drums with Walter's confident vocals for an exciting combination of improvisational electro-rock. The duo has released a new video for the song, "Mr. Bones", from their debut EP Those Of Us Still Alive . The video was directed by Brian Bowman. Watch Tiny Victories' video for "Mr. Bones" below. Pretty lights and hustle: someone turned on the acid faucet this week. Please don't watch these without some sort of substance in your bod-ay. Two beer minimum. Also that Florence + The Machine song from Snow White And The Who? (The Huntsman) has an official video. Scenes of weird black flakes and Kristen Stewart NOT [...]

"Mr. Bones" by Tiny Victories , off their debut EP Those Of Us Still Alive, out now via BirdDog Records.
We blogged quite a bit about NYC's Tiny Victories in the last few months, the duo just released this stunnning video for their single "Mr. Bones," directed by Brian Bowman, check it out!
It's Monday and I'm feeling rough. Sign of a good weekend and plead for some good new music to keep me going. Brooklyn-based Tiny Victories released the video for "Mr. Bones," off their debut EP Those Of Us Still Alive, out now via BirdDog Records. Directed by Brian Bowman of Nice Shoes studio, the electropop duo demonstrate their layer over layer of dancey hook-filled rock to a room full of hair swinging and eager hands. Stay tuned for their upcoming full-length debut.
Though the soundscape of 2012 has been littered with stars so far, it's worth bringing attention back to one of the year's first bright spots: the Those of Us Still Alive EP from Brooklyn two-piece Tiny Victories . The record's first track and debut single, "Mr. Bones", recently got a video accompaniment that perfectly matches the group's expansive sound. As the video opens, waves on the screen mimic the song's electronic chimes, evoking falling water. Soon quick cuts alternate between huge, sprawling city views and touching, personal early-morning moments. Shots of the pair [...]

For NPR's "Where Will You Find Your Next Favorite Band" feature, radio jockeys from around the country were asked to select an up-and-coming act poised to break out in 2012. WNYC Soundcheck's John Schaefer threw his two cents behind New York's own Tiny Victories , saying there is "a natural, organic feel to the music despite all the samplers and electronics." In the band's new clip for "Mr. Bones", you can see and hear exactly what Mr. Schaefer is talking about. Musically, "Mr. Bones" builds up layers with surprising grace - island percussion, to chiptune [...]

Lost Weekend - Tiny Victories // Buy Tiny by name but certainly not by nature. Greg Walters and Cason Kelly have produced a larger than life sound with their debut EP Those Of Us Still Alive . Combining a diverse collection of sounds, the duo collectively known as Tiny Victories (@tinyvictories_) created a five track project that sounds as though it's powered by the sun. From soaring vocals and high powered hooks to sci-fi centric synth riffs and digitized beats, it's quite hard to peg what exactly their [...]
