On the heels of yesterday's belated Best Albums of 2006 list, it's time to look forward to what we can expect from this year. And since I got a little behind last year, what better way to ring in '07 than by jumping the gun and putting out its first 'Best Of' list. Fourteen picks might've done the trick for '06, but it's a new year and there's no way we can do it in less than twenty. The Best Albums of 2007: [...]
Well, we're in the last few days of 2006 and many are already beginning to look forward to next year in music. What's in store for 2007 you may ask? I've made a schedule of sorts of albums that are being released in 2007 (or are being projected to be released) that I'm looking forward to. It's a understatement to say that it looks like it's going to be a great year for music. If I have a single/demo/live song from the album I've included it as an MP3 download. I'm going on a cruise this week [...]

Ted Leo is still touring his ass off, currently with Death Cab For Cutie. Check out his website for tourdates and his blog. Back in September I got to see him twice in one week, in Memphis at the Hitone and then a few days later at ACL. I got so busy getting my shit together to go to Austin that I totally forgot I had these pictures from the Memphis show. It was a wild evening, local favorite The Glass opened the show and everyone was really drunk. When I was chatting up Ted after the [...]

Ted Leo came to town earlier this month and pulled a nice little bait and switch on an unsuspecting all-ages crowd at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge. It'd been years since he'd played a space that small in this area, and I'd fortunately seen him put on some great shows in that very room before he graduated to the much larger downstairs stage. It was no surprise to some that the Sunday matinee show sold out weeks in advance, but I naively figured I had some extra time with students yet to flood back [...]
