Smooth, Outkast, Brother Ali, e Grand Puba. O resultado é muito bom. Parece um CD gravado por um novo artista, não algo totalmente [...]

From Paste : Montreal-based producer Tor is gunning for the King of Unlikely Samples title with his new, free mixtape, Illinoize, which mixes Sufjan Stevens with Outkast, Brother Ali, Aesop Rock and Big Daddy Kane, amongst others. Turns out, the pairings complement each other nicely. The penny whistles from "Dumb I Sound" layered on Andre 3000's "Throw you hands in the ay-er and wave them like you just don't ca-are" textures "ATLiens" perfectly. And Brother Ali's smooth, quicker-than-lightning rhymes overlaid with the funky keys and bass lines of "They are Night Zombies" sound so [...]

Tasty summer samba vibe from the RAL label, ...... as ever..... every output they have had great character, the link being that different underground techno artists under the "unknown artist" name produce pumpin' tribal tracks using samples from old world music, folk and even pop tracks Great tracks which can add a little something special to a mix. Played by everyone from the Ricardo and Luciano to Rhadoo and the Fabric residents. Highly sought after, very limited press, 320, must have! Unknown Artist - SAM Unknown Artist [...]

Bless these souls, what wonderful Beach Boys inspired beauty, far ahead of their season time - certainly in London right now. Currently sitting in warmer climates with hopefully slightly less identical clothing in Oregan, Portland! It feels like Arcarde Fire (in terms of the instrumentation and sense of adventure) got stuck in a room with some hazy 60's hazy pop. Love it myspace / virb / last.fm / fb / online 1. We are a six-piece, three gals and three guys. 2. Our [...]
Tor Cesay (formerly known as Tor - check the labels at the bottom) brings us her latest track, taken from the forthcoming 'Beatz International' Compilation out January 12th 2009. It features up-and-comer Manchester MC Envy and Nottz representative Pariz 1. Each lady does their thing but I thing my favourite on this is Pariz 1 on the last verse.

Click on the picture to see the flyer in more detail. The gist of it is that Blak Twang is launching his album 'Speaking from Xperience in London on the 5th of October. He'll be performing and so will K9 and Tor amongst others and Mr. Million Dan will be hosting. Big.

Twang's back again ('…Although I never left, I'm takin' my seat back//Back with a spring in my step, back in my element…') with his fourth album release, fifth if you count the never-released-due-to-label-pr oblems, promo only 'Dettwork SouthEast'. 'Speaking From Xperience' is an aptly named volume of work, and a hefty tome at that. Frankly, I recoil at the thought of reviewing an album with 18 tracks proper (24 counting skits). How can I possibly listen to that much music and assess it all at once? 'Tis pretty hard, but I've started now haven't I? As usual Mr. Rotton [...]

More free music! This is really catching on innit? This is a promotional tool for Tor's forthcoming long player, and by golly, I must just buy it so impressive is this mixdownload (it aint or tape or CD). 'Beats International: Journey To The Album' is apparently due to drop in June so we can all save our pennies and bump this until then. 'Beatz...' is nice introduction to the East London born MC. There are some 'freestyles' (read 'verses over other beats') and some remixes and together these make for a showcase [...]
