With the reissue of Four Tet 's album, Rounds , comes a previously unreleased original version of his stellar track, "Unspoken" that samples Tori Amos ' "Winter". Keiren Hebden, known for his innovative instrumental tunes, delves into a humanistic world previously unheard from his stage name, Four Tet. Hebden explained that the track is 12 years old via Twitter , and the age can definitely be heard as the track ebbs and flows in a comfortably cacophonous symphony. In celebration of the reissue of his third album Rounds , super-producer Kieren Hebden (a.k.a. Four Tet ) has dug into his personal archives and shared the original version of the album track "Unspoken", which samples Tori Amos’ "Winter" . "The first track I made for the album... this version (is) about 12 years old," Hebden tweeted . "We tried get the Tori thing cleared for the reissue but still didn't work out." Rounds , the third album from the bucolic British producer Four Tet, was his big breakout moment, the album where his fusion of pastoral folk and head-blown inward-looking electronic music found its fullest realization. And it sounds like one person's complete vision. But with the album's 10th-anniversary reissue looming, Four Tet recently revealed that it's not exactly the album he intended to release. " Unspoken ," the album's nine-and-a-half-minute centerpiece, was the first track that Kieran Hebden finished recording, and it originally sampled the beautifully still piano intro from " Winter ," a song from Tori Amos's debut album [...]
Included in Four Tet's 2003 album Rounds , "Unspoken" was augmented on the final release when Kieren Hebden couldn't legally produce the original version.
