Toro Y Moi has been touring pretty consistently this year following the release of his third album Anything In Return - a pop classic that we rated highly as seen here . Stephen Bevan was on hand to snap these images from the London date of his UK tour at Koko - with the added bonus of Ryan Hemsworth as support. [...]

The super-handy Andy Rementer is living his peaceful life drawing and designing editorials for personal projects and cool magazines, such as Apartamento or New York Magazine. His signature: odd cartoons characters with funny faces, colored in retro tints and dressed in nineties-like outfits as palm trees printed shirt and banana stamped sweater. A super-inventive spirit crossed [...]

What's the best way to make a huge release even bigger? Disclosure know how! Immediately following the release of their debut record Settle, one of the lead singles off it, You & Me featuring Eliza Doolittle has received the remix treatment from the likes of Baauer, Bicep and Toro Y Moi. Although the remixes have been streamed around the internet for a few weeks now, their official release came yesterday via Island Records. In terms of the Bicep remix, the track still keeps the upbeat feeling of the original, but introduces a refreshing breakdown [...]
OK, so Brad Weber's latest sonic patchwork may not tread too heavily on the toes of 2-step nor any other given subgenre of garage and with his newly cobbled together Spring Mix emerging just in time for the belated onset of summer, there are a couple complications with the above titling although that oughtn't deter you from delving into what is a darn comprehensive encyclopaedia of contemporary electronica. Inviting us in with the idle glimmer of Floating Points' Vacuum Boogie and dropping us off one hundred enlightening minutes later with a languid take on Pick a Piper triumph All [...]

If there's little joy to be derived from many greyish shades, then there's certainly considerably more glee to be gleaned from this first glimpse into the glimmering pooled outpour of Perth duo, Greyjoy . Comprising a couple fantasy novel fetishists in Karlin Courtney and Matt Crocket, Idle Thoughts is an aptly fantastic dream of a thing which most closely resembles Phoenix in timbre and so too tone. Matching the Francophones for lyrical surreality, they chime jejunely of "sitting in the backseat of my mind" atop scintillating '80s synth manipulation, the surreality of Mew so too swirled in for added giddiness [...]

That thing where, at the end of the week, you're not even sure what the hell came out. Blame it on the Monday holidays. And the alcohol. In any case, this week held some hidden gems that might get us through the summer... or at least through the next few weeks before summer hits.

Yo. zack the kayyyak here. Yes I'm a kayyyak cus I ride waves bruh, get wid it. I got a real wavy mix for yah this month. May had some awesome new indie bands killin it, ill flow from Pro Era, OF, Joey Fatts and more. Not to mention some ethereal DJ instrumentals and most importantly a slappin 90s R&B remix. We all know that not loving 90s R&B is wrong; very, very wrong. Anyway. Here's the Mix. You can also download the set of 14 [...]

Disclosure 's dancey single " You & Me " is quick-tempoed and energetic, but Chaz Bundick (aka Toro Y Moi ) decided to shake that up entirely with his remix of the song. Slowing things down considerably the remix sizzles with erratic percussion and glitchy vocal samples, taking that energetic feel and melting it down across five minutes. Stream it below.

Chaz Bundwick, better known as Toro y Moi , released this bouncy playful re-work of Disclosure's " You & Me " featuring vocals from Eliza Doolittle ten days ago. Bundwick chops and screws Eliza's vox in a way that is reminiscent at times of Mount Kimbie 's debut LP Crooks and Lovers released back in 2010. "You & Me" had its first makeover by Bauuer –you can check that out here . Wolfey [...]
Even though barely recovered from Barça last week, there's little I wouldn't do to return in a couple more for Sónar. And indeed, the dawning on our horizons of 20-year-old London-based producer Tyrone Smith, who in this particular context operates under the guise of T-Funk , is only intensifying that sense of newly impoverished longing as Night Ride Thru L.A. proves an appositely transporting listen, André 30002s decelerated Da Art of Storytellin' (Pt. 1) lyrics of Darth Vader and BMW wheels flighted high over lavish billows of intricate experimental hip hop. Simultaneously plundering the funk and soul genres, Smith may [...]
In one rather delightful day, Toro Y Moi 's remix of Disclosure surfaces, along with this remix of one of his own songs. One of Ninja Tune's finest, Drew Lustman a.k.a. Falty DL , switches up "Rose Quartz", one of the stand out tracks from Toro Y Moi 's Anything in Return album. The New York producer takes what was originally a slow building take on electrofunk to create a more moody, garage-focused rhythm. Lustman again captivates us with a tune that bears resemblance to those off his latest album, Hardcourage , but keeps intact the chilled [...]
We were pretty psyched the other day when Toro Y Moi remixed Disclosure's "You & Me," but if you were holding out for new updates of Toro's own material, you're in luck today - here's a very house-y, glitchy remix of Anything in Return highlight "Rose Quartz" by the producer FaltyDL . It's a fantastic re-up - that percussion sounds like shards of glass, that chopped-and-screwed bass backbeat is practically irresistible, and we love how FaltyDL makes ample room for Chaz Bundick's edited vocals. Check it out. [...]
