07 This is one of my favorite covers of all time. First of all, Bruce Springsteen is always, always relevant: an epic force of music. I expect a lot of the artists I love to cover him- from Josh Ritter to Frank Turner, but Tegan and Sara were a surprise. But it just goes to show how wide Springsteen's influence is. Tegan and Sara - Dancing In the Dark Bruce Springsteen - Dancing In the Dark I also [...]
UK based DJ/producer Michael Woods creates an impressive progressive tune called "Airborne." He has quietly put together a string of impressive months that first starting with his essential mix and was followed by the releases of " Full Access " and " Shinjuku ." His newest production is laden with kicking synths and a heavy bassline. The piano riffs that are used in "Airborne" are similar to the one's in Pryda's " Melo ." As long as Michael Woods' keeps bringing the heat, he will always have DA 's support. Via: Facebook (Michael Woods) [...]
Sidney, is that you? If you were expecting the dirty Dutch electro we've come to love from Sidney Samson, you're probably disappointed. This time Sidney teams up with fellow Dutchman and Spinnin' Records labelmate Tony Cha Cha to bring us a big synth-filled progressive house tune. "Something in the Air" features a distinctly different sound than Sidney's other recently released tracks , so while we miss the bleeps, this tune is quite refreshing. Stay tuned for the release on March 5th. Via : Facebook (Sidney Samson)

Why isn't Deniz headlining festivals yet? We find this extremely weird . Not only did this man have two of the biggest tracks of 2011 (" Dangerous " and "Tung"), he is responsible for many other tunes that will be played throughout 2012. Deniz now takes on the daunting task of creating a remix that is worthy of Fedde's " So Much Love " (incase you don't remember this sat atop the Beatport charts forever ). It's no surprise that Koyu absolutely nails it - we've come to expect it from this Dutch-bred DJ. We can't wait for [...]
This track makes the ironic hipster kid inside of me squeal with glee. Miike Snow and Jacques Lu Cont are a match made in indie dance heaven and this remix of the latest Miike Snow track, "Paddling Out" is exquisite. Like most Jacques Lu Cont productions every note floats in perfect harmony with the next, it is electronic music at it's best. It may not make you want to rage, but kick back, throw on your Sennheisers and appreciate it's perfection - we told you Jacques was back . Via: [...]

Early December 2011 came news that Tori Amos is going to expand her Night Of Hunters era with an instrumental album titled Sin Palabras . However, ever since that announcement there has been no news whatsoever about the release. We wonder if the project was abandoned? On the self-titled David Loris & Co. , Rome's David Loris shares simple yet evocative songs that recall the rhythmic foundation of traditional folk, the lush, acoustic orchestration of The Beatles, and the gentle touch of Elliott Smith. Between acoustic guitars and distinctive mandolin, Loris (and co.) produce light, rhythmic, and sugar sweet songs that fall somewhere between indie pop and folk. The sprightly, accentuated instrumentation makes the music all the more appealing and effective. It's soothing, energetic, playful, and charming acoustic folk-based pop that makes even the darkest of days open for a bit of sunshine. [...]
David Guetta played this very not safe for work remix of "2123 by Azealia Banks at his Roseland Ballroom show last night. Dance music's resident hippie, Tommie Sunshine, and the Disco Fries collaborated to take the original version of "2123 and turn it into a dance floor ready banger. By electrifying the original bass line and sprinkling in some dutch percussion, they successfully took Banks' rap swag and meshed it with house rhythms. Sunshine is giving away the edit for free so there's no excuse not to add this one to your library. [...]
Last month we introduced you to Axis , our flagship radio program that showcases a handful of the biggest tracks featured on DA. With tracks from Afrojack, Hardwell, and Tommy Trash — just to name a few — this episode brings an energy that will get you dancing no matter where you are. So, grab your headphones, count down the minutes to the weekend, and brace yourself for another amazing episode of Dancing Astronaut's [...]

Newcomers, Qulinez (Alexander Lager and Johannes Gustafsson) represent the new breed of talent that is being fostered by the Size Matters imprint. Their debut release "Troll" is borderline bi-polar. Like a crazy ex-girlfriend, it may seem sweet at first, but sooner or later the shit hits the fan. It's high-pitched, melodic synths lead into a snare-laced build and an incredibly rewarding drop that, as one of our readers so eloquently put it, made him "almost shit his pants." Expect to hear this track at every party you attend in Miami, it's an absolute monster (pun intended.) Qulinez - [...]

06 Smiths covers are tricky. I don't care for most of them. I don't know if it's because I idolize/worship/am dependent upon this band. But, there are exceptions. And I'll admit it, they're always with female vocals. I suppose this has something to do with having such a different tone than Morrissey that I can ~*~accept~*~ it as a different interpretation. Anyway, as you may have guessed, this post is about such a track. One of the first things that attracted me to Kitten was Chloe Chaidez being a Smiths [...]

Last we heard from Hysteria Records they were teasing the Bingo Player's new release, " L'Amour ," and now they're at it again with "Bazinga." The record label only recently acquired Kenneth G but this Amsterdam native is already bringing the heat. "Bazinga," with its acid synths and massive dutch-inspired drop, is a gem amidst rhinestones. We implore you to play this track at full volume! If you can't wait until March 5th check out "Tjoppings" or "Konichiwa Bitches," his collaboration with Nicky Romero.
