Escalier is the musical project of Benjamin Van Patten, a 17 year-old from Wes Des Moines, Iowa. Though Benjamin has been making music for some years now, the name Escalier (the French word for 'staircase') is a relatively new moniker; he's already revised and changed the name of his project two times to accommodate the changes in his south and the breadth of his influences (one former name being Trans-Bedroom Sound ).
