I didn't watch this year's Grammys . Instead I caught a blow by blow account on Twitter, which is just like being there. Yes, millions gathered to essentially Mystery Science Theater the shit out of the Grammys. Some of it was even funny. When Blink-182 released Neighborhoods two years ago my reception was essentially just luke warm. My marginal exuberance towards it was more of a product of the band finally getting back together and making new music again rather than the quality. Now, in 2012, Blink has dropped their label and joined the world of indie rock. The five track Dogs Eating Dogs EP makes it pretty evident why they parted ways with Interscope . Regulators just released a massive remix on Travis Barker & Yelawolfs "Whistle Dixie". The original track had some lovely catchy ingredients to work with (man, that whistling sample alone just kills it). Travis Barker has teamed up with fast spittin' rapper Yelawolf for an EP full of solid hip-hop drum beats and angsty, high energy lyrics. I have listened to a few of Travis Barker's albums in the past and have usually enjoyed about half the tracks that come off of them.
