Back without any demand, popular or otherwise, here's SOIWT's annoyingly infrequent end-of-week round-up of new videos by London acts we like: Is Tropical - Lies Is Tropical's last video was the stuff of internet legend. This one, directed by "the creative director of America's only new luxury erotic magazine" (that's like saying 'the only red banana with wheels on Mars in February' in terms of unsurprisingness), isn't quite as good but it does manage to neatly parallel a stripper and a vulture. Fresh out the kitchen, we bring you the official video for Treetop Flyers ' "It's About Time". It documents their summer adventures on the road during which they played Glastonbury and won the Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent Competition. Their harmonies, which hint at a Crosby, Stills and Nash influence on the band, carry throughout most of the track and the black and white footage really helps bring the viewer back to the good ol' days. This year's Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition winners Treetop Flyers have unveiled their new video, highlighting a busy summer playing a wide range of festivals. It's About Time is released on September 19th through Communion records and is another fantastic folk offering. With an occassional country twang to the music and full of soulful harmonies, this should prove a hit with fans of the band and folk in general alike.
