Mojib - Price You Pay/Take Me Into your Skin (Mashup) (mp3) (1) [...]
After 2 years Trentemøller is releasing yet another single from his 2006 critically acclaimed album ' The Last Resort '. ' Miss You ' shows off his inimitable & astonishing composition skills, exuding with warmth & emotions where the haunting original is kept minimal & glazed with soft melancholic keys, ill-omened dreamy ambience, & completely built around a tatu - 30-minutes -like miniature music box melody while his remix (probably going to be the single version) is more deep & energetic with piano, sharp hi-hats, accelerated pace, hypnotic melody, & even a smooth progressive dusty [...]

Eugenia Street, 2007 "Everybody experiences far more than he understands. Yet it is experience, rather than understanding, that influences behavior." -Marshall McLuhan Gui Boratto - Gate 7 (Techno) - a familiar track played out by the likes of richie hawtin. boratto's chromophobia is a melodic techno album off of kompakt that offers some interesting electro pop melodies and not just an album full of minimal bangers. the bassline off of xilo reminds me of peter hook from joy division/new order. he's playing a live PA [...]

The Bamboo Orchestra is back after the long break, and what a better time to come back than the Halloween night, with a new Midnight Mix? This is part 2 of my annual Halloween mix, (you can view part 1 here). The overall mood is: dark, sinister and mystical. Various tones throughout the mix, ranging from German IDM to horror movie score. Most of the five tracks are wordless, with the exception of the closer, a haunting classic from Cibo Matto. For a setting, think of an empty, winding road. Dark clouds rolling above. The clapping [...]

Last Friday afternoon, it was raining again. That in-and-of-itself was not so impressive, as it's been pouring pretty routinely for the last month or so. But the weather set a decidedly mellow mood, and caused me to bum a ride back from work (which will get far more exciting after I return to NYC this weekend). I was listening absentmindedly to the radio, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear a breakbeat, which eventually coalesced into what could easily be described as trip-hop, complete with that female vocalist. I did some research, and apparently I was [...]
Here is a random selection of funkiness, mostly influenced by what I listened to this week... TTC - Une Bande De Mecs Sympa 36 15 French hip hoppers with mad flow and bumping electro beats. Gus Gus - David Attention These guys are on the verge of following up this 2002 LP. Jockohomo recently posted a couple of new tracks that made me dig this out. I love this song. It's a sexy( "I still have
What is the link between Chris Issak and Aphex Twin ? The Answer: Anders Trentemoller . Both artists have had bootleg mixes of their tracks done by Mr Trentemoller . I was wanting to do a post about a new mix of 'Take Me To Your Skin' by Trentemoller, so I decided to dig a little deeper. I knew that Trentemoller had done a version of 'Wicked Games' by Chris Issak under the name Businessman which appeared in his Radio 1 Essential Mix. What I didn't know [...]
Every Friday I plan on making a mix out of what ever I have in my iTunes, or rather, what ever is on my internal hard drive as I keep all my music in an external hard drive. The mixes will not have a theme. For the most part it will consist of [...]
It has been slow going here on the square but I'm looking forward to a three hour drive tomorrow and dusting off some album cobwebs and letting the hounds loose. I'm loving Hissing Fauna and have only listened to about 3/4 of the album at once. Looking forward to a full listen. [...]
Not just one artist today, but ten of them... and they just so happen to be responsible for some of the best releases of the past year. You only need to click and enjoy each song. The entire purpose for this blog and the the MySpace group is to highlight music we love and that deserves to be heard. During the past year we've featured almost 300 musical acts from 27 different countries. All of
trentemoller why is stuff like this so good?

This night the monkey died. His skeleton has gone gangrenous with a toxicity that swells the night with green foam and odd light. Join the fray and tangle. Trentemoller - take me into your skin (the last resort, 2006) M. Craft - you are the music (playground dub) (unreleased, 2006) Low - monkey (bob mould remix) (tonight the monkeys die Ep, 2006) [...]

just got home from a friend's house uptown, and while walking back from the train i realized that it was the first time this season i could see my breath. trentemoller - while the cold winter is waiting iron and wine - faded from the winter ####
Around 6 months ago, this group featured plenty of indie electronica and I'm not sure how we got off track. I like to mix things up more than I've done recently and I think today's musician more than makes up for the lack of attention in that direction. I'm not even sure you can label this, or similar sounds, experimental any longer since the components involved are so
liz has two phobias which i find hilarious. the first is an unease that she experiences around hanging beads, and the second is a hysterical fear of bursting/popping eyeballs. i'm not saying that it's not a terrifying prospect, but there are very few situations that would induce generalized anxiety about one's eyes actually bursting. i probably shouldn't have showed her this video: klaxons - magick i should really start charging modular a fee [...]
electronic pop // dark house I've heard this music described as bleeby-bloopy. It's appropriate, albeit a bit classless. Trentemller - Moan (feat. Ane Trolle) buy this cd
