Wednesday night I finally had the opportunity to see one of my favorite bands live - The Pierces. Opening for them was singer-songwriter Trevor Giuliani and a band that I love to watch live, Hymns. Sadly, I'm a bit short on time so this review is going to be very short.Trevor Giuliani's music is relaxed but catchy. He has one of those effortless voices that is so pleasant to listen to and he was
So I've been meaning to feature some of the stuff that's been sent to me for a looooooooooong time now. Breezy summer atmospheric chill mode hang out tunes. That's the best way to describe a lot of the music I've been receiving in the inbox and listening to and totally enjoying. Most of it is just perfect for driving halfway across the country to a music fest. or just driving anywhere for that matter [can't wait for lolla]. Trevor Giuliani is no exception. Originally juggling between CT and NYC, Giuliani [not ex-Mayor dude] recently moved out to Portland, OR to start his music making. His debut album called Subcontrario (In Stereo) is out July 21st [...]
I'm really liking Trevor Giuliani right now. His relaxing and soothing music that's reminiscient of Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens and Jens Lenkman fills the airwaves and lifts my mood. It mixes folky undertones with interesting musical arrangements. His debut album, Subcontrario (In Stereo) comes out July 21. Wasting Your Town

One of those friends was a touring musician for Sufjan Stevens, who is now lending background vocals for Trevor's album. Giuliani recently moved to Portland, for the reason [...]

'Subcontrario (In Stereo)' is the journey that epitomizes the life and music of Trevor Giuliani . Each song on the debut album veers from layered musical arrangements, dodging away from conventional and formulaic song structures. As you're lulled into predicting the next phrase or note, Giuliani pleasantly diverges the song into another world.
