Facebook / tripwires.co.uk/ It's been a while since we've heard from Tripwires, the Reading four-piece spent much of 2011 behind the scenes readying their debut album and follow-up to debut single "Cinnamon", finally they let the cat out the bag this week with the release of "Emerald", an equally intoxicating mélange of big / soft pop noise. Readings Tripwires have been holed-up recording their debut album for what seems like an eternity now. The wait seems to be drawing to an end though, as they have just released Emerald as a free download today. There still doesn't seem to be any concrete news on an album release-date but we'll keep you posted. The song itself is another blast of hazy, fuzzy indie rock with the same measured swirling guitars and vocals as their previous work.
