The album consists of live recordings from a show in Carnegie Hall and features special guests including tUnE-yArDs, Trombone Shorty, Yasiin Bey, Jim James, Allen Toussaint, Steve Earle and many more. Life is good Festival, September 23rd and 24th - Canton, MA In its third year, the Life is good Festival was once again graced with absolutely perfect weather. The beautiful concert fields at the foot of Blue Hill in Canton, Mass. were filled with sunshine and temperatures in the mid 702s each day. As was the case the previous two years, the festival ran extremely smoothly with ample staff, volunteers, concessions, restrooms, and good vibes to keep the throngs of festival goers extremely happy. Sets alternated nicely between the two main stages and ran pretty well [...]

Few bands have built a reputation for consistently explosive live shows like Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue . So it only made sense that the two groups were billed together for one of the final shows of the Oregon Zoo's 2012 Summer Concert Series . As the number of sunshine-filled, 70 degree weekends in the Pacific Northwest slowly dwindle, Portlanders could not have asked for a more beautiful Friday evening for an outdoor show. Let me preface this: If Robert Randolph wants you to have a good [...]

After falling through a hole into a psychedelic, animated, one-eyed dimension in space, My Morning Jacket share their new video for “Outta My System” featuring Zach Galifanakis as the wizard. The video which premiered this morning on VEVO and Pitchfork was directed by James Frost (Radiohead, Coldplay). My Morning Jacket are also set to release The Outta My System EP tomorrow, August 7th, featuring remixes by Washed Out and Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio. The EP also includes fan favorite “Friends Again” from their limited edition 7” released in December. [...]

Okay, we admit it. Towards the end of last year we started to lose a little faith as My Morning Jacket played similar sets at most shows. However, the Spontaneous Curation series in which fans help choose this year's setlists has paid major dividends - and special guests don't hurt either. Last night at Red Rocks MMJ delivered a monster performance that was seen by many of those at home thanks to a AXS.tv broadcast. By the time the marathon three and a half hour show was over, the Louisville based band had welcomed Band of Horses' front [...]
This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Hot August Blues Festival. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Hot August Blues Festival (HAB). Founder and organizer Brad Selko first held the blues jam in his backyard, shuttling the musicians from nearby hotels himself. That's dedication! Now a favorite of musicians and fans, this premiere music fest continues its double-decade tradition of providing end-of-summer fun at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland. If you're looking for some comfy indoor experience, this ain't it. This is a...
