>> The wait is over, and it was surprisingly short: the first single from the planned sophomore set from Birmingham, England noise-pop titans Johnny Foreigner will be for the new tune "Feels Like Summer." The single, which will be issued by Best Before Records in the UK in May, is likely to appear on the forthcoming record, which according to our intrepid KSDS colleague Luke Cotton will be released in September or October. Mr. Cotton, who saw Johnny Foreigner Monday night at Islington Academy in London, also reports that the tune "Custom [...]

Myspace // "Night of the Pencils" [Audio] I've been really torn about my love for Tubelord . On the surface, they're just a hardcore-loving group of emo misfits, but if you dig deeper, there is much more going on. While the band might be appreciated by the eye-liner wearing set, their music is intricate and their vocalist has pipes for the ages. The band says that they sound like "Biffy Clyro having fun," which I tend to [...]

That dumb British emo-prog band who had the song about killing Michael Azerrad is still trying to bleed dry any publicity said lyrics can give them. Dudes, it's been almost a month already—that's forever in Internet time. If you really want to stay in the game, try writing a song about, oh, I don't know, getting revenge on a "blogsnob," as you put it? [ NME ]
A "proggy emo band" (It's all Rush's fault) known as Tubelord has recently written a song about wanting to kill the author of Our Band Could Be Your Life , Michael Azerrad. This news comes to us via Idolator . I'm now happier than ever that my name is completely without a "swing to it." Excellent. Here's the band's lyrics and their excuse: "I see today, I see you, Azerrad / I've read the clues, they lead me to your head / I'll kill today, I'll kill you, Azerrad." [...]
![Someone Wanted To Kill Michael Azerrad Because They Liked The Sound Of His Name [Clara Peller Dept.]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/1327811_lg.jpg)
Big-time rock critic Michael Azerrad's life took an unusual turn recently, when a proggy British emo band called Tubelord* wrote a song about killing him. The murderous ode to him, called "I Am Azerrad," is their next single, and it features these lyrics: "I see today, I see you, Azerrad / I've read the clues, they lead me to your head / I'll kill today, I'll kill you, Azerrad." That seems pretty conclusive to me! At least Azerrad got in some good lines about it when he wrote the [...]

So, with Johnny Foreigner and Cats In Paris having now both gone on to deliver on their making-me-massively-excited-ab out-the-universe promise by releasing utterly fantastic albums, I need something fresh and new to gibber about. So luckily Tubelord have emerged into my field of consciousness to take their place as this country's leading upcoming band. ADD noise-pop of the highest order, I think I've probably listened to the songs on their ...

(review of blakfish new ep in the read more) "See You In A no ther City" is Blakfish 's first proper release, considering the bands been together for over 10 years and have put out a number of EP's independently its about time, but all that time h ave severed them well. the EP is a short but very sweet stab of [...]

If you're not a fan of Big Scary Monsters Records yet, why not? I've been pushing their stuff on to you for months now and its all been quality. The most recent treat the guys at BSM have offering you wonderful people is a new track from Tubelord , a trio of London noise-makers. Half Man, Half Amazing is abrasive, loud and full of beans. Its many "woos" and "yehs" making extremely catchy. I bet you can't help but join in after a few listens and then go a bit crazy when it all goes mental. [...]
