Tubetops is a band originating from Brooklyn, whose debut self-titled EP is being released on December 8th. The result of this collaboration between four friends is a seven-song release that was recorded and produced entirely by the band in their makeshift Crown Heights studio. Their DIY approach to making music gives them a unique sound, while drawing on familiar influences. Tubetops' incredibly catchy synth lines and vocal hooks will float around your head for days, under layers of synthy electro pop, r&b, and dub influenced production. Brooklyn based four peice Tubetops are funky, catchy, nerdy, DIY and quite handy with a synth. Tubetops is not afraid to make dance music. Their stellar production on Mermaid Parade is full of lush layers of synths and eclectic instrumentation, which they combine with a dope breakbeat and some killer vocals that makes for a very worth while listen.
