Underground London based rockers Turbogeist have just released a brand spanking new video for their single Mermaids Revenge . The band who are soon to well and truly 'bring it' at Takedown Festival next month have commented on the direction of their recent music video by stating that; " In this new video, we had a lot more fun. We got super-involved in the whole development process... It's really more like a mini-movie. I mean, it's no Scorsese's 'Bad', but Michael McCool is seriously on his way to being one of the greats..." [...]
Turbogeist sabotaged a man's interview by playing some wicked loud punk music inside his head, great live action animation video for "Mermaid's Revenge", directed by Michael McCool and animated by Nick Dunn and Nicos Livesey . "Mermaid's Revenge" is from the Ancient Secrets EP , stream it here .

London's Turbogeist crank it up with aggressive, neck-breaking punk rock, but the crew is interested in more than just a singular, relentless assault. Led by Mick Jagger's son Jimmy, the group dives into their Ancient Secrets EP with trudging, serrated grunge on "Mermaid's Revenge," a blistering bassline on "Black Hole" and meaty, chunky guitar textures on "Rats." Turbogeist sought to explore fantastical and cryptic themes on the new EP, which led to a diverse, open-minded approach to the record. In anticipation for their upcoming release and dates at SXSW, London based rock [...]

© 2013 Anthony Barlow When Frank Carter left Gallows behind for pastures new, many were confused with the new direction the punk frontman had taken. His new band, Pure Love, have a more traditional rock and roll round and were far more melodious than the hardcore sound his fans may have been used to. In all honesty, I was never a fan of Gallows and Pure Love's first single reminded me more of, semi-novelty glam rock four-piece, The Darkness than the fresh, cool, punk n roll it was supposed to be. Regardless, I went into their [...]
We saw Turbogeist play loads of times in 2010. We reckon we'll probably see them loads more in 2011. It only made sense to ask Luis Felber and Jimmy Jagger stuff about Christmas, smelly bassists and sucking cock. When did you find out Santa Claus wasn't real and how did it happen? L - When [...]

Filed under: News , Exclusive , New Music , New Releases It would be easy to expect the son of legendary Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall to carry himself with attitude and swagger, but there's something weirdly unassuming about Jimmy Jagger. The 25-year-old sings and plays the guitar in his own band, Turbogeist , but he refuses to play on the connection to his famous father. "I know [...]

From: London Sounds Like: A Sloppy Joe mix of gutter-dirty grunge rock, red raw thrash and heart-in-head hardcore. Website: MySpace.com/Turbogeist Thrash Hits verdict: You might already have a vague idea of what we think they sound like from the above description, but the first thing that sprang to mind when we saw Turbogeist live was: [...]

Turbogeist UK band Turbogeist were in town to play NXNE this year and have announced their return for a September 28th show at the Silver Dollar. Included in the heavy, punk-inspired band is Jimmy Jagger. I think his dad has a little band of his own. Opening for them are fun local ass-kicking rockers PKEW PKEW PKEW (gunshots). Their current EP deserves a lot more attention than it's gotten

I just thought I'd dedicate an entire post on James Jagger being the ultimate fuckbag. You'd think that one of the perks of being Mick Jagger's son would be being able to afford 20 to 5000 pair of Converse shoes. Apparently not, because our James here had to shove himself (quite brutally I might add) to the front of a free Converse giveaway queue, only for a pair of fluorescent-green kicks. Why can't people be [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , Canada Just a few doors away from where his famous father Mick Jagger played the El Mocambo and recorded part of the Rolling Stones ' 'Love You Live' in 1977, singer-guitarist Jimmy Jagger's band Turbogeist played another legendary Toronto venue, the Silver Dollar Room for NXNE . But from the second they ripped into 'Cheating Death,' it was clear the younger Jagger's musical foundation was punk rock, not blues like Mick's. The [...]
