Brandon's TBE Digest is a place where I gather up all the recent jams that are worth a listen (or 10) but don't necessarily need their own post. Here you will find new tracks by known bands, remixes, covers, and even mashups if they are interesting. My favorites of the lot are in bold . See that nifty little intro in italics up there? Yeah, it was brought to my attention that these Digests didn't come with much in the way of explanation and even dedicated TBE readers may not really understand what the heck [...]
Watch the Danish synth-rock trio Turboweekend perform Robyn's big hit in a trailer.

If you (like I am) are impressed by the quality of the A Month Of Unrequited Love project and hoping for a physical release, the time has now come to help the project make the next level by making a donation . There are a few different options (I picked the "everything" one), but no matter which one you choose I'm confident it will be worth your time, effort and (!) money… Michael Møller [...]
Posting this makes me feel quite like an ignorant, but shame on me for completely having ignored the free to download Bound EP by Turboweekend , which the band put out last year. The other day my wife heard the track Into The Pavement (featuring Casper Clausen of Efterklang ) on the radio and told me I should give it a listen. I (almost) always follow orders, so now I have; which [...]
![[EP] TURBOWEEKEND are turning INTO THE kind of band with chops as hard as PAVEMENT](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/3285173_lg.jpg)
we're out of here, going anywhere ♫ Turboweekend - Into The Pavement (ft. Casper Clausen of Efterklang) Turboweekend have been kicking around since 2006 but were only recently tipped off to me by TBE reader Arletta. She introduced the band thusly: Turboweekend is a three piece band from Copenhagen. They released 2 LP's: Night Shift and Ghost Of A Chance . The second album is brilliant, has it's own atmosphere and it got to Poland along with the single [...]

Denmark's Turboweekend have steadily seen their affable stock rise in the last few years following the release of acclaimed sophomore album Ghost Of A Chance in 2009 and stellar appearances at Roskilde and SPOT. The recent Bound EP was a brief collaborative affair tinged with equal portions of the mirthful and morose to placate the acquired aficionado. 2011 sees the release of their anticipated third LP, and an imminent UK tour is sure to further assimilate curious beings to their burgeoning flock. Christian Adofo speaks to the Danish three-piece about melancholic love, [...]

In the last decade, Denmark has bought us music portraying a diverse range of eclectic taste from a nation which has a population less than Greater London. The well executed trail of building a solid fanbase on the home front and search for acclaim further afield has worked well for The Ravonettes; Alphabeat as well as bass favourites 2000f and JKamata. Following on from breakthrough LP Ghost Of A Chance, Turboweekend are no exception to this small but ever burgeoning assembly of artists from this bubbling Scandinavian hotbed. Bound EP by [...]
Earlier this month Turboweekend released a new EP called Bound. You can get it now for FREE (donations welcome) by by to their official site. The EP features guest performances by the lovely Ty... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.

Bridging the gap between 2009's sophomore album Ghost Of A Chance and their forthcoming third full-length record, the Copenhagen based Turboweekend have released a brand new EP. Bound not only features guest appearances from Ty Bulmer (New Young Pony Club) and Casper Clausen (of fellow Danish band Efterklang), but is available to download in it's entirety for free via the bands website . Furthermore the dance-rock genre straddling trio have opened the door for fans to appear in their video for 'Into The Pavement', the aforementioned Efterklang collaboration. All you have to do [...]
![Dubstep Roundup Vol. 2 / 10.8.10 / Joel & Scott present [Major Lazer, Turboweekend, ]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2878031_lg.jpg)
We're ba-a-a-a-ack…... We're sorry to inform you that the little tiny dude inside your ears is about to get bitch-slapped, gut checked, and probably even kicked in the nuts a little bit. So, I hope your eardrums are ready because this shit is about to get devastating. Ohhh yeah, and Mr. Yuck is back too. This week, we, Joel & Scott and The Burning Ear, bring you: Dubstep Roundup Volume II . So, go ahead, sink your teeth into this tasty bass, but as always, proceed with caution. [...]

Not booking Turboweekend to Roskilde 2009 was a major mistake. Having just released what was arguably one of the best Danish albums in several years (and of 2009 by far), the band seemed like an obvious pick to grace the Roskilde poster. Back then, I was sad they did not come. Saturday at Roskilde 2010, I was happy that they waited a year. Roskilde definitely does something to everyone attending, whether they're hiding out in the media village or going full on bonanza in the camping area. I like to think that this applies to artists, [...]

Parisien label-grande Record Makers are enjoying their 10th anniversary in style, spoiling us in the past few months with stellar Turzi and Tellier records followed up by a big new Kavinsky EP and the debut full-length from Acid Washed . The limelight shunning duo have the midas touch at the moment, turning Kelis' Acapella into a plinky-plonky danse rumble and now conjuring up an ultra-vocoded, shiny metallic electro remix of Danish electropoppers Turboweekend , who, I admit, I know nothing about. Écoutez! Turboweekend - Something Or [...]
