You know when you go away to a festival for a few days, and then afterwards the real world seems to have been stuck on fast-forward, leaving you tofeel like you're playing permanent catch-up? Well, that's why we're only just now posting the video to 'Ancient Snake' by Turbowolf . Watch the video to 'Ancient Snake' by Turbowolf Turbowolf are playing the Thrash Hits-sponsored Offset Festival this weekend, and are spening most of the rest of September [...]
Almost certainly when you read this, the great and the good from Thrash Hits will probably be passed out drunk in the fields surrounding Reading & Leeds Festivals respectively. But even the weight of an incredible drunken stupor isn't enough to keep Thrash Hits from giving you a Spotify Sunday Slaylist taster of what looks like the last great festival stage line-up of the summer: the Thrash Hits-sponsored Hardcore Stage from next weekend's Offset Festival . Just take a look at the line-up that's been assembled for the stage's [...]

It all pops off Friday 28 August through Thursday 3 September at Vibe Bar, Brick Lane. By the looks of this stellar line-up, there should be no hesitation, what-so-ever, to attend!! Since we love a good event, [...]

Another day, another Download Festival announcement - this time its a whopping SEVENTEEN bands added to the bill. That's the largest number to be announced in a single announcement this year. Or possibly any year. We're not really bothered enough to check. Topping the announcements are Hatebreed , the Kelly Clarkson-covering A Day To Remember , and God Forbid (pictured above). They're joined by Damnation Festival headliners Therapy? , Maria Brink's breasts and their backing band In This Moment , the Swedish glam-trash of Backyard [...]

Hey kids! Tonight UK rockers Turobowolf take the stage for their only NYC date (and their only non-SXSW U.S tour date!) @ The Tank tonight. They sound like a healthy mix of DFA1979, Eagles of Death Metal, and Korgs Gone Wild!! (I totally need to startup a web show about that...). Sharing the stage with them are Brooklyn based, punked-out crazy-noise-rockers Chewing Pics . I've seen them twice now and they're totally worth checking out live. Turbowolf - "Ghost Hunt" Here's the full [...]
Turbowolf are going places. Those places being SxSW, Canadian Music Week, the BBC Maida Vale radio studios, and the screen of your tellybox. Hugh Platt found himself caught up in the mania. "Party constantly, day and night." "Polishing skulls and all that cool shit." "Eating a lot of tangerines and other citrus fruits." Those were just some of the answers offered up to Thrash Hits by Bristol-based digi-punk buccaneers, Turbowolf , when asked what they do when they're not detonating their explosive live [...]
The All England Club Monthly Missive is contributor Miguel Banuelos ' monthly column. Yes, it is time for another AEC Monthly Missive. There are some very exciting things coming up in the next few weeks - March 2009 is bringing some great things from across the pond, so let's get down to business. We'll first pick up where we left off last month. Since SXSW is days away, we want to make sure you get the rest of the [...]
Ye olde oddes & endes. 01. Eleni Mandell - I liked everything I heard from Mandell. "Artificial Fire" (the song) has this gorgeous guitar work on it, and though I'm not sure what she means by artificial fire, it's no weirder than pretty much every New Pornographers song ever. There's a strong jazz influence on the music, with extra brass, which is awesome. Mandell is apparently a Silver Lake fixture if you know that scene, so hop over to her site and preview some tracks. You can pick up "Artificial Fire" (the album) [...]
Loopy Bristolian hardcore quartet, Turbowolf are basically a somewhat silly, but also quite amazing, band. Vocalist, Chris G and guitarist, Andy G talk about driving through rainbows and YOU sleeping in their dirty, dirty beds. What was your highlight of 2008? C: Last week we were driving down to London, and we drove through the end of a rainbow. A: We're not even fucking around. I thought it couldn't happen; I thought it was an optical illusion. [...]

British wonderkid producer Matt Plimsouls brought these three tracks to our attention and since we think all the tracks he churns out are incredible there was no question that it was time for a Plimsouls mega post. Here's what Matt wrote: "The originals were for a label, but they're taking their time so I'm sending them out to blogs. The remix is for a Bristol band called Turbowolf , who should hopefully get massive in the next few months". Plimsouls - Into The Night (YSI) [...]
