Dank eines Kommentars hier im Blog bin ich auf das polnische Duo Twilite aufmerksam geworden. Allzu oft hatte ich Bands aus Polen ja noch nicht in meinem Blog (Ausnahme vor allem: Myslovitz), drum freut es mich besonders, dass dieser Tipp ein guter ist. Twilite machen semiakustische, melancholische, folkige Musik irgendwo zwischen Iron & Wine und Turin Brakes. Ihr Debütalbum «Bits & Pieces» ist Anfang 2009 auf den Markt gekommen, leider aber wohl nur in Polen erhältlich. Link zur Bandseite bei Myspace MP3-Download Twilite «Faces»
Όπως και με το άλμπουμ των It Hugs Back λίγα posts πιο κάτω έτσι και μ'αυτό των Twilite πραγματικά αιφνιδιάστηκα όταν μετά από δύο ακροάσεις, και έχοντας ήδη αποφασίσει να παρουσιάσω το υπέροχο track The Messenger , ψάχνοντας για πληροφορίες σχετικά με το συγκρότημα, ανακάλυψα ότι κατάγεται από την Πολωνία! Ο δυναμικός, αν και βασισμένος στη μελωδική ακουστική κιθάρα, indie folk ήχος τους, οι πολύ καλές συνθέσεις τους, η θαυμάσια φωνή του τραγουδιστή τους Rafal Bawirsz .. όλα παραπέμπουν στον Αμερικάνικο Νότο και σίγουρα όχι στην Πολωνία ή έστω στην Ιρλανδία όπου [...]
