After a period of dormancy, Boston's Twin Berlin return with a new EP produced by none other than Travis Barker himself. Guitar Center brought the band and Blink-182 member together, and it just might be the only good thing the retail chain has ever done. There Goes My Virtue is easily the best sounding batch of songs the band has released thus far, and hopefully will lead to better and bigger things for the garage rockers. This is a very quiet time of the year when it comes to new music. Most major bands don’t start releasing material until February or March, so January can be seen as a reflective time. 20112s Top 50 list took me quite a while to finish, but I must say that I’m pretty happy with it overall. "Can't Take, Take, Take" is our latest single recorded in western MA. The recording was done with a live setting with vocals, two guitars, bass and drums. It's a fast-paced, guitar-driven song that mixes punk aspects with modern indie/garage rock vibe.

Damn, I tried to blog this week, but as you can see, I failed. Big fail. There's a lot on my plate lately. Twin Berlin are a 4 piece out of New England that have really caught my attention. A great way to describe their sound is a mix of The Strokes and Libertines. They got the guitar riffs and rhythm section reminiscent of The Libertines, and the garage grit of The Strokes. It is almost scary how close lead singer Matt Lopez sounds like Julian Casablancas.
