Man. I wish I had time to type out some stories but I've barely got time to shit, shower and shave before heading back to work. I really went into this month's show with no plan and came out with, what I think, is a really rad show. There is a good mix between new and old, loud and louder and a cool cover of Faster Pussycat's "House Of Pain." So Imma shut up and you should press play: Track Listing: 01. The Eagles - Outlaw Man (Desparado) [...]

Had some praise for Fort Shame recently and now here's an album from the bands guitar slinger Todd May, as well as Fort Shame he's written, recorded and played with Lilybandits and the Mooncussers with Lydia Loveless and he counts Shane and Micah of Two Cow Garage in his circle of musician friends and though TGC recorded it first he wrote the track Alphabet City which is one of the albums highlights along with the title track - the Rickenbacker Girls are not as I first thought guitar heroines but girls Todd [...]

If you've never seen them, prepare for an experience. If you have before, you know what I'm talking about. [...]

Woot! It was nice to get back to the podcast. Mad props to Charles for keeping it active and awesome the past two months. So awesome, in fact, we’re gonna start alternating months so you’ll hear him again in November. Like I was saying though, I am naturally a night person so I find actual enjoyment in staying up till 3:00 in the morning making these on Friday nights and after 2 months off, I had plenty of music to pick from. I tried to keep the podcast from being a facsimile of the radio show and I [...]

Two Cow Garage : No Shame [ purchase ] Two Cow Garage is a rock band from Columbus, Ohio, that inserts elements of punk and country into their music. My friends tell me that they are one of the best live rock bands going these days, but unfortunately, I have yet to see them in the flesh. This song is off of their 2007 album III (not surprisingly, their third album), which is one of my favorite records from the last decade. The [...]

first off, i am a person who hold grudges, childish as they may be, i still hold em. i have tried for the past 5 years or so to get on the suburban home pr list and you know what i have been met with? silence.... i am only trying help, is that so wrong? so, i am breaking my suburban home boycott to talk about arliss nancy's newest release simple machines cause its a fantastic fucking record. surprisingly, i found these guys through some spotify recommendation app who [...]

I am trying something new with the track listing by including the album that the songs came from. Not sure if anyone actually reads these things but I thought that might be a useful piece of information that I was removing from the official playlist when I post it here. So lemme know if that's something you appreciate/will use. Last week's show turned out so good I consciously went into this show trying to duplicate it. The lesson here is that the show just needs to happen organically. It's still a good show, I just feel like the [...]

Last night was the 75th episode of Ninebullets Radio! Pretty cool. I just wish I'd noticed it last night. Oh well. It's still pretty neat and hopefully there will be 75 more and maybe some of those will be 2 hours long. I may not have realized/remembered that it was the 75th week of Ninebullets Radio but the track listing still ended up being something special. Some shows are better than others and I truly feel like last night's was one of the best I've done in a while. It had a little of everything; country, punk [...]

I was back in the saddle last night after taking a week off and boy howdy it sure felt good. As you can see from the image above, the ninebullets radio stickers came in this week as well. I plan on using them during the next pledge drive so be on the lookout for more info sometime on July about how to get one, should you want one. Last night's episode opens with a Doc Watson tune in remembrance of him before launching into a "summer themed" set. The show also features a double dose of one [...]
The past few weeks have seen 9b Radio sit in a more mellow groove so I decided to up the rock level of this week's show. It certainly didn't hurt to have Truckstop Darlin' and Tin Horn Prayer send me brand new songs and when you combined those with Sunday Valley, an unreleased track from the Bohannons the rock kind of upped itself. Even the requests fit the overall feel I was going for last night so good job to the listeners. Now! Go put some ears on the archived stream of the show . Below is [...]
