It's Thursday night. For some, the weekend begins tomorrow circa 5:00 pm on your bus ride from work to the bar. For most, the decision to inaugurate the weekend began Wednesday night. If you're reading this and you're from Seattle, it's likely you've been weighing your options for the past week or so on whether or not to drive 100+ miles to act as a degenerate for 48 hours in arguably the most experimentally nonsensical shit-hole of a town in the U.S.- Leavenworth, Wa; Or stay for Decibel Festival . Sure, beerfest will be cool- but face [...]

It's been awhile since Two Door Cinema Club graced us with their Irish presence. This time around, the sold out show at The Wiltern proves the Irish lads have what it takes to win over an LA crowd, which isn't always easy. TDCC might look like they just got out of prep school, but once Alex Trimble takes command of the mic (ginger hair now flowing to the side), Sam Halliday starts wailing on his guitar, Kevin Baird owning the bass, and let's not forget touring member drummer Benjamin Thompson who can slap those skins just fine, the conservative [...]
Two Door Cinema Club bring a piece of the UK's finest indie dance to an elated San Francisco.
Click image to download full album Song: Jubilants - Antics (Dublin Aunts Remix) "Jubilants - Antics (Dublin Aunts Remix)" What's so good? Dublin Aunts have captured Jubilants' "Antics" and turned it into a dancey, disco tune that I've repeatedly come back to over the last hour. To put it another way, this song is incredibly and undeniably catchy. Based out of Sydney, Jubilants are a young four-piece band inspired by the likes of Foals and Friendly Fires. They [...]
Though the stage set up was grand and impressive, Two Door Cinema Club didn't need anything besides their talent to draw a crowd that size.
Thursday's menu: ► Irish rockers Two Door Cinema Club visit the Wiltern Theatre, with local quintet Grouplove opening. Above is Grouplove's recent video for "Tongue Tied," off its debut "Never Trust a Happy Song." ► The Janks celebrate the release of their album "Hands of Time" with a show at the Bootleg Theater. American Tomahawk opens. [Check out the Janks' "Dead Man" here .] ► Joseph Arthur (who appears on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" this morning) swings back through L.A. behind his May [...]

Tunes - Two Door Cinema Club - "What You Know" (Live @ Lollapalooza 2011) Two Door Cinema Club is playing a SOLD OUT show at the Wiltern tonight. I caught these guys at a showcase a few months back and they def rocked the room. If you are a fan of Two Door Cinema Club I suggest tracking down some tix ASAP! Two Door Cinema Club - "What You Know" [...]

Welcome back. I understand its Tuesday... In case you missed last week, I outlined my change in posting philosophy. In fact we're setting a new TBE record for the shortest time between Remix Roundups. Thats right, you're now apart of some very dramatic world history. Go ahead and tell your friends about it. Does this new philosophy always mean I will be posting this often? Not always, but sometimes. Also, check out the contest we're running for tickets to live shows in your city (you've got options). So, without further adieu turn your speaker [...]
Toronto - It's amazing what a few extremely catchy tracks and a hard working ethos can get you these days. A great example of this would be Two Door Cinema Club , a Northern Irish indie pop band signed to the ever so popular Kitsune label. The band released their debut record Tourist History early last year and has remained on the indie radar ever since, largely due to extensive touring. In that time, they have seen singles like Something Good Can Work , I Can Talk and What You Know [...]
Two Door Cinema Club - Terminal 5 - New York - 9.15.11 Two Door Cinema Club have it all figured out. Their "same beat, different song" philosophy worked every time last night at NYC's sold out Terminal 5 show, which was opened by The Lonely Forest and Bombay Bicycle Club . One could hardly make way through the ocean of people, who only ceased their dancing when the sound stopped momentarily between songs (…sometimes not even then). The Northern Ireland [...]

More of their remixes and originals are free to download at Soundcloud . Felix Da Housecat - Kickdrum (The Chaotic Good Remix) Midnight Conspiracy - Discord (The Chaotic Good Remix) [...]
TheMusic.FM is in the building for the TDCC show in New York that MTV Hive just began webcasting at 9 p.m. Eastern, as scheduled. Watch it now, right here: We're at The Studio at Webster Hall, ready to take in some behind-the-scenes scenes for you - and a bunch of photos, to be posted later [...]
Well it's that time of the week again. The theme of this post will suite all the P&Bers out there who listen to ther music intently and with a mean mug on their face. You know those people you see on the subway head bobbin and toe tappin like they got Parkinsons (btw anyone see the new Curb?). Or those gym rats who look like they're about to punch their own reflection in the mirror. This is for you guys. Of course, since you know I'm gonna be dropping that dubstep, I'm gonna save the second half of this post [...]
Young the Giant are giving out a free remix EP to anyone who likes their Facebook page. Not too difficult, eh? The release includes tracks re-done by HCM favorites such as Tokyo Police Club , Two Door Cinema Club , Ra Ra Riot , and more. Young the Giant - "My Body" (Two Door Cinema Club Remix)
The final day of Leeds Festival 2011 brought with it dryness and a relative calm that I hadn't seen all weekend, no frantic rushing to tents. Just good music. Well, for most of the day anyway… Speaking of music that just is not good in the slightest, my first port of call for the day was the Main Stage to watch Pigeon Detectives. Beginning with their set with arguably their most popular track 'I Found Out' was their first mistake, as they had my attention for that [...]

Toronto - Just like early 20002s alt metal one hit wonder Staind once said, "it's been awhile" since we have done one of these articles. It's also been awhile since there's been a host of good shows to write about. It all ends this week, as concert season once again begins, coinciding with the inevitable return of fall and a new gaggle of fresh young nubile college kids ready to find themselves. Here are the shows that have us interested this week. Miami Horror/Empire of the Sun Sound Academy, September 13 Despite [...]

Note to self: When I become a famous rock and roll star, make sure my between-sets music consists of Darude's "Sandstorm" and Haddaway's "What is Love." The crowd got so hyped at the music that was played between the opener and the headliner, I thought I should leave when the band took the stage. I've never seen so many clean, tall, and suburban kids, fist pump to Darude in my life. I felt like I was at Shampoo on a Wednesday night back in 2000. After a rousing first opener whose sound made me feel like I was [...]
