Take a breather from the ear banging EDM consuming Miami this weekend and feed your mild side. Carlos Andujar (aka Navigateur) dishes out some upbeat, synthy analog tracks for your listening pleasure. Navigateur first started when he found freedom in composing and performing electronic music and by incorporate acoustic elements and sounds from found objects he avoids a “template” for his music. Thus far he has mainly played around Florida, including an opening set for Tycho in Tampa. To date he has released two EPs titled Steady Drift and Slurrr, as well as [...]

This is surely a record: I've managed to pull together a Sunday Night Chill from scratch in under 30 minutes. Usually it takes 2 hours alone to find all the songs. In fact, I know Hannah puts close to a week of research into every playlist she pulls together. Either I'm a slacker, or the music gods are on my side. Either way, this playlist's pretty damn chill (and up to date... The Four Tet track was just released 20 minutes ago!). Image credit: Magic Tree in the Cold Winter Night with Dark Blue Sky [...]

Le producteur américain Scott Hansen alias Tycho , nous présente son remix du titre I Take Comfort In Your Ignorance extrait du dernier album A Long Way To Fall de Ulrich Schnauss . Une version de presque six minutes qui nous propulse dans un univers électro léger et atmosphérique, digne d'une bonne soundtrack de film.

![[MEGA Playlist] 60+ Instrumental Tracks You Need to Listen to](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4741497_lg.jpg)
Everyone loves lyrics. Whether they're light-hearted and playful, soul-gripping and gut-wrenching, or abstract and avant garde, we all love to sing along, relate certain verses to our personal lives, or just be taken away by another person's story. On the other hand, hearing a great instrumental track is an entirely different experience. Without having words to identify with, your brain is free to let the music create an image in your mind. The interpretation is more so up to you than if you had someone defining it with their own words. Having this blank canvas allows your mind [...]

It's hard to go subtle when you're known for grabbing people's attention. Last year, Flying Lotus made a nearly identical shift with the soundscape-laden, electronic-gone-ambient Until the Quiet Comes : a critically adored record which ended up underwhelming me due to the lack of sonic payoff from respective genres (i.e. jazz, IDM, etc) Lotus borrows from. We're in a similar place now with L.A.-based electronic producer Jason Chung, better known as Nosaj Thing , on the follow-up to his energetic 2009 debut record Drift [...]
Beethoven is quoted as saying, "Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy." This may not be true for all, but at least for me, music is a type of religion. Especially music that transports me - takes me someplace new, makes me think something different, or just makes me think, period. When it comes down to it, the reason I enjoy compiling (and listening to!) Sunday Night Chill playlists is just that. The music slows my mind down enough so that I can enjoy the delicate balance of light and dark within each song, so [...]
