Late last year Umphrey's McGee played their first-ever four-night New Year's Run, which took place from Dec. 28 - 31 at The Tabernacle in Atlanta. The run saw cover debuts of Wang Chung's Dance Hall Days and Nine Inch Nails' Wish, an impressive Phil's Farm > Puppet String > Phil's Farm sequence, a ridiculous version of Higgins as well as rarities Sweetness, Bad Poker and Water. Two of our favorite jam acts will team up this October for a pair of shows at Family Circle Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina on October 4 and 5. Jam titans Widespread Panic will headline with Chicago-based sextet  Umphrey's McGee on as support. Panic and UM have crossed paths a number of times. After months of anticipation French dance titans Daft Punk finally released their new single, Get Lucky, on Friday. It didn't take long for the song to make an impression as it set a Spotify record for streams within 24 hours and just one day after its release, Umphrey's McGee took a stab at the song. There are all sorts of interesting pairings hitting the road this summer, but here's an old one that's coming back - Umphrey's McGee and STS9 . The acts first teamed to play venues during the Summer of 2008 and have continued to check in with each other at Caribbean Holidaze events. Seven years after the launch of what was then Caribbean Holidaze, the Cloud 9 Adventures destination event that's now known as " Mayan Holidaze " is still going strong. On December 16 - 20, the latest installment of Mayan Holidaze will bring HT faves the Disco Biscuits, Umphrey's McGee and STS9 to Now Sapphire Resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. The Hangout Music Fest will begin with a Kick Off Party on Thursday, May 16th that includes many jam favorites. 80/35 has revealed the lineup for its 2013 festival, which takes place July 5th - 6th at Western Gateway Park in Des Moines, Iowa. The lineup features over 40 acts, highlighted by Wu-Tang Clan, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Deerhunter, Yeasayer, Wavves, Umphrey’s McGee, and Kitty, among others. Umphrey's McGee will host the second annual sUMmer School at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York from June 17 - 21. One week ago today Umphrey's McGee wrapped out the western portion of their never-ending tour with a headlining set at the McDowell Mountain Music Festival in Phoenix, Arizona. The band was joined by jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan for a two-song encore that included UM original Glory and a cover of Making Flippy Floppy by Talking Heads. Umphrey's McGee interactive UM Bowl concert returns to Chicago's Park West on April 26th and today attendees received their ballots for the Raw Stewage first quarter and the All Request+ second quarter.
